Hi everyone, in this episode of Frankfurt Walking Tour, we will walk from frankfurt Nordend to Innenstadt (City Center).
The name Nordend already indicates this: In the middle of the 19th century, Nordend was the northernmost extension of Frankfurt. It is hard to imagine that it initially consisted consisted mainly of farmland, meadows and woodland. The Gründerzeit saw the start of the the great building boom began, which transformed Nordend into a district with a very high population population density.
