As an SNP member and voter (for now at least), I couldn't agree more with Frankie. In terms of the three candidates, Humza is the most appealing of the three. Only because the other two want to take us back to the 1950s. The unionists should be hoping Forbes wins because if she does, enough of us will be switching to the Greens, and the SNP will be seriously damaged at the next election, and it'll take a decade or more, after Forbes has gone, for the SNP's progressive image to recover. Kind of like the way that the Lib Dems are still recovering, after selling out to the Tories in 2010 and throwing away their pledge for free tuition and that whole Tim Farron fiasco (why can't these people just join the Tories?).

What I don't understand is how there was such a fuss over my local MP Mhairi Black taking a person in drag to talk at a school, but pantomimes are still much loved family events at schools and elsewhere. Why? I watched panto as a kid. My grandads neighbour and friend of over 50 years and his wife used to put on a panto for the children in my town (till he passed away). He was a chemist and a good man. He would dress up as the dame and make children laugh. "He's behind you" sort of stuff. What's wrong with this? Do you think that watching this made me want to? Science actually says trans people (men and women) have brain structures that don't align with their birth-assigned gender, and gender dysphoria is experienced by trans people across the whole spectrum of sexualities and gender identities. Boiling gender nonconformance down to simply "dudes who like crossdressing" is stupidly reductive, and ignores most trans people and why they transition.

@@samsoncooper1 Samson, if you cannot see Frankie has made a well paid living saying outrageous stuff that offended people. Then he went on to chastise others for making jokes about a subject he felt strong about... is insanely hypocritical, can't have it both ways. I like Frankie's stand up, he has some interesting views, don't necessarily agree with his politics but that should never stop anyone from enjoying good comedy. I guess that is the problem nowadays, people have adopted the ugliness of American culture. Bought into the whole left and right trash. The real assault has been on common sense.

No it was Mel Gibson himself who got into hot water, being accused of making anti-semitic remarks. He got arrested in like 2005 and ranted to the police about how the arrest was all the jews' fault, or something along those lines.
