The Spirit of man has awakened
The Soul of man has gone forth
Grant us the wisdom and the vision
to comprehend the greatness of man's Spirit
that suffers and endures so hugely for a goal
beyond his own brief span
We are all of us children of Earth
Grant us that simple knowledge
If our brothers are oppressed,
then we are oppressed
If they hunger, we hunger
If their freedom is taken away,
our freedom is not secure
Grant us a common faith,
that man shall know bread and peace
That he shall know justice and righteousness,
Freedom and security, an equal opportunity,
and an equal chance to do his best,
not only in our own lands, but throughout the world.
And in that faith, let us march, march toward the clean world,
our hands can make. Amen
-Franklin D. Roosevelt, June 14,1942

@@markharrison2544 Violence cannot kill the march of history. If Bush, Goldman, Morgan and the rest of the banking cartel had gotten their wish and ousted and replaced Roosevelt with a Nazi sympathizing capitalist like you, not only would the possibility of American dignity be snuffed out forever, but it would be for nothing, as war economies fueled by fascist enslavement of workers cannot compete with the industrial power of communist nations. American and German economies would have collapsed, workers would fight and die to reclaim what rights fascism had stolen, and the effects of desertion, defection and mutiny would have rendered any army poised against the Soviets a useless one. Fascism was put in the ground with the sacrifice of millions of soldiers and countless millions murdered civilians. If any fascist element in the world tries to poke its head out and pick another fight, you'll be hanging from meat hooks and taking cyanide in your bunkers soon enough.

I especially liked the video and tears came to my eyes at seeing the flag raised on Iwo Jima. My late father was on Iwo and saw both flag raisings. I still have his dog tag on my key chain. He was infantry replacement and laid cable for field telephones for forwar observation for 155 mm howitzers, the island was so small howitzers could reach anywhere

This is NOT about Communism or Capitalism, IT IS about human Spirit! FDR didn´t use the word "american braveness" or anything similar once. If you want to beliefe in the humans spirit, so do it. I always did, and I will always remember those words, they are the huge Push I need for some actions. So if you want to see these sentences in an unspiritual context, it´s yours, but keep it on yours!

Best of luck, just realize what you're fighting for in this war because there are some different reasons these days than even in 2001. The reasons to fight WW2 and the many battles during the Cold War had un-changing goals, while this War on Terror seems to have goals that change yearly. Semper Fidelis and stay safe.

The point is that we are all capable of believing things which we know to be untrue, and then, when we are finally proved wrong, impudently twisting the facts so as to show that we were right. Intellectually, it is possible to carry on this process for an indefinite time: the only check on it is that sooner or later a false belief bumps up against solid reality, usually on a battlefield. kripsgaming let's not forget back when adults acted like adults. Back when college students looked at successful people as something to aspire to be,instead of as a grieving process. And back when an entire country was unified and did not demonize people(calling people nazis)because they don't support 100% of their views. Just for the record,Hitler established gun registration in the 30s(then confiscation),believed in shutting down free speech through violence(something progressives do on college campuses)spied on his opposition(Obama)and socializing EVERYTHING!(bernie and really every democrat today) Sound familiar? Hitler was a progressive! While in prison,he read a book upon book about the American left and fell in love with the way that they kicked people off of their land(indians) and enslaved blacks, then forced them to obey discriminatory laws. And of course, tge art of dependence. Trump might act like an idiot! Trump might be an idiot. But demonizing other's for not following an ideology that has been used over and over to make its citizens dependant on government, while taking away their only way to fight back,is terrifying and almost unfathomable. Keep sipping the divide and distract kool aid spoon fed by the media, and we will know what REAL government abuse feels like! REAL Oppression feels like! I can guarantee you that it will feel much worse than soft feelings leftists get that causes them to yell for months over 1 of trumps bad words or bad tweets,or hurt feelings that coward leftists get from almost anything and everything said by their new target group(straight white males) before they run to their voluntary segregation space(safespaces)!

I'm actually a Monarchist so I think the notion of "right" or "left" wing is a very harmful philosophy as it was designed to deliberately remove the Humanity from the the inherent right to civilly debate and exercise free speech. I observe that the Nazi's official party system was known as "the Democratic Party of National Socialists". That's how they've always been recognized throughout historic political affiliation. I dare go further, good Sir and shall mention that the majority of their policies were from "leftist" platforms and philosophers, save the redistribution methods. If we're talking of Facism. This is very real and it's platforms are harmful to a society as well. This political ideology was invented and initiated by Mussolini.
