Bobbin winder has a thread cutter on it too so you don't need the scissors to cut the thread good tip I learned in my lesson yesterday bobbin also has a thread cutter in it

It has a pc connection on the side..no explanation what this is for or how to use it in the supplied manual..anyone know what this is for ? Thanks

Hi, the USB port on the side of the machine is for firmware updates

Hi Claire, I had the old version and decided to upgrade to this. I enjoy the bold flower inbuilt designs but I can't find it in this. Rather, it's the smaller designs I find. Pls what do I do? Or is there area I can find it? Thanks

If they have changed their decorative stitches and the one you like has gone, there's nothing you can do I'm afraid

I just bought this machine and had no idea it could do embroidery this way. Is it possible to use an embroidery program where it stitches out the image? I’m really happy with this machine. Out here in the northwest corner of Washington state, it retails for $2500 but you should be able to find a discounted price of $2000.

Hi Susan, The Bernina 475 QE doesn't come with an embroidery unit to stitch out an image. They are great for doing free machine embroidery. There are some more ideas on how to free machine embroider on my KZfaq Chanel: Claire Muir Free Machine Embroidery. I hope that helps

Love your videos they are much better than the actual Bernina ones. I want to do more free motion am a bit scared, but did a lesson with a picture of a bird on it, a panel and was a bit freeer doing this as it didn't matter where the stitches went and you had the picture to follow

It's the free machine embroidery foot no 24. No , it doesn't work with a foot that clamps the fabric so no, 37 won't work I'm afraid. You might find this video helpful: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aMyCrdSb2KyZiWw.html

No Richard, not at all. This was straight out of the box and a bit dry but after oiling it was great

@@rosamariadiaz8143 Ups!!! Pues a ella seguro algo más porque creo que es americana y una máquina Suiza 🇨🇭 allí costará un pastizal. Pues me has sorprendido, porque yo pensé que rondaría los 3.000 € es preciosa, yo tengo una Bernette, que es la línea económica de Bernina hace 25 años y va como un tiro, pero está algo anticuada.

@@angelesmariabartolomepache9027 sí, hay una que en principio me la iba a comprar de ese precio, unos 3.000, pero no la había en esos momentos. Pero ésta está muy bien! Sólo que los accesorios son muy caros...😔
