@@graemeneale9311 Hi is the crime rate high, and is water available?

@@61sunset water is an issue in the town, I am told that the Municipal supply is better (and more reliable) than in most parts of the Country, quite a few of the houses have boreholes, owing to demand from outlying farms I am told that some of these dried up 5 or 6 months ago. Perhaps with the recent rains, aquifers will be replenished? The Karoo has had a prolonged drought. Violent crime is low, no home invasions, arson attacks, hi-jackiings, muders and other facets of our Vibrant Democracy in the town. During the prolonged lockdown last year some of the inhabitants created a bit of mayhem as they had been deprived of access to Alcohol, a necessity for many in these arid parts.

@@graemeneale9311 Thanks for your informative reply, it's a great help. I know there has been a water problem in quite a few small towns and even some larger ones. Great to hear the crime is low at least. Maybe worth my while looking into the area to settle. I am after peace and quiet like so many others.
