Flagstad didn't sing Gotterdammerung until 1934. The joke may have been that it would have been a find indeed to have a 1932 version, perhaps from an unknown private recording, just as in rock & roll etc early/bootleg tapes are prized discoveries.

Why don't they make intelligent witty funny comedy sitcoms like these anymore ????😒 Instead there so much of reality tv garbage shows and other brain dead shows with people who can't act ..... I actually prefer to watch repeats of old shows ( golden girls, Frazier, the nanny ect .... ) brilliant shows, never gets old, super talented actors, interesting story lines.... aaaah the shows from the 80s, 90s and early 2000...... memorable shows 🤗

I love this compilation, I really do! However there is a quote from “Out with Dad” (where he sees Rigoletto with Martin) which I consider to be a “moment musicaux” too where Frasier tells Roz: “I have laughed with [a woman he wants to approach] during Figaro, cried with her during Tosca, I even had a dream about her during Einstein on the Beach.”

He didn't belong to John Mahoney but had his trainer on set, a woman named Matilda if I remember it correctly. John Mahoney always said Eddie was really a very well trained actor who upstaged all of them all he time. He was replaced after season seven by one of his puppies.
