Same thing happened with me , I sold my 2015 Xuv 500 and was updating to ENDEAVOR 2016 from Baba Luxury Car for 21 Lac deal was almost done and luckily I got my contact to import service records the odo was 48000 but service record shows 110000 kms that too 1 year ago . Saved my money and decided not to buy used cars , now waiting for new xuv as it is looking good

A month back I was searching for a small car like wagon r...I saw wagonr 2014 model 28000 km for 3.40 lac at a dealer and same car on olx add put by owner gave details as...2014 model 72000 km done and asking 2.75lacs...so I came to know that they tamper the metre of each and every car.

yar 2018 mein i started my journey of purchasing a car , looked every second hand markets in my city and my budget was 7 lacs. Saw Verna, City , Cruise etc etc... sab nakwas lag rhi thi, even 6 lac mein mil rhi thi.... but end mein ek honest dealer mila jisne baat ka dhangg dekh k simply bola , aap budget thoda extend krlo aur showroom se new gaadi he nikalwao, that's what i did and i am at peace of mind !!

Had a much better experience with Mahindra First Choice. They showed my friend cars along with information of meter back and all, also they actually give him warranty for around a year that the claimed items and the given items are correct to what have been discussed. He even got a written email from them (on request) that there has been absolutely no repairs done to the engine/suspension and the vehicle is non accidental. Also the warranty was valid even after we got CNG installed.

Even I got cheated when I bought my car whose kms were tampered by 1 lac. It showed 1.15 Lac kms run on ODO but when I went to showroom for servicing, they said its tampered and actual running was 2.05 Lac kms. I blindly trusted the seller because he was a young reputable builder and had a collection of luxurious cars and sold me a premium luxury car for rock bottom price. That should have been a red flag actually but I thought that he is doing financially so well and doesnt care to make money from selling his cars cheap.

The final things is that don't buy 2nd hand car.

Patience is the key when finding a second hand car. You can find a great car at a bad dealer or a worse car at a reputed dealer. You should not be in a hurry when buying a second hand car. Always look for a car that is not older than 2 years with less than 25,000 kilometres. Not only will you find a great car, the car will also have warranty and service history will be easy to obtain. Instead of random dealers, find pre-owned cars at car showroom like Toyota U Trust or similar like that

Bro being an advocate in delhi High Court i suggest u that dont list u r vehicle on OLX and dont pick anything from olx, olx is the biggest fraud platform if u want to buy good deals than go to Ashok Vihar delhi car market and there r many good and genuine dealers like Car Giant etc so try to search there

Satnam Motors is one of them you went to Mallik motors I guess in Vikas Puri..Don't make it public in you tube coz these dealers have their goons and can cause harm to you may be physically.. Be safe keep doing what you are doing as a travel vlogging , never go for second hand. All the best.

This same incident happened with us in Bihar Patna we were searching for a Scorpio and we found which was 2017 model s10 and 55k driven according to dealer but after checking we found that that car was driven 145k kilometers 70%car dealers are scammers😔

Same thing happened to me. Saw the ad on Olx and bought a Vento Highline diesel in 2019 by paying 7 laks and it was a 2015 model with 16k on the odo. I checked the history in the showroom and it was clean. I got it checked by my friend while buying who was the motor insurance surveyor. From day one I was having the gut feeling that something is wrong with the car but no clue at all. After 5 months I sent a mail to Volkswagen customer care asking for the history of the car by saying I have no idea about the last service details and have to do the service. Customer care assigned my ticket to the Bangalore hesargatta road showroom CRM team. CRM team told me the heartbreaking line saying it was the total loss car and they gave all the details. Asked the seller to take back the car and return the money but he refused to take back the car. In Jan 2020 I started legal procedures and filed the case in Bangalore consumer court. The case is still going on. I have spent almost 2 lakhs extra on car repair and one lakh for legal expenses on top of this too much mental pressure. This car got claimed with 799300 when it was declared as a total loss.

Now that you have decided to go for new, it will be surely worth waiting. Both fortuner and endeavour are equally capable in off roading. But yes you'll need to upgrade the tyres to all terrain ones if you choose fortuner. Do test drive both before finalizing.

Suggest that you buy brand new Jeep Compass S 4x4 AT fully loaded variant instead of Ford Endeavour. Change the tires to 225/65 from 225/55. Although it has less boot space than XUV & Endeavour but it is easily maneuverable and suits your needs of driving even on congested city roads & the decent off road capabilities. Moreover the type of non stop long drives that you undertake, new model Compass S variant with its plush interiors and automatic transmission will be less tiring.

Then after watching your video I checked the scorpio service record.... And after checking the status of service record... I was shocked....One thing I learnt is "No one is your friend my dear friend" plz plz plz buy car from showroom... You can pay EMI, but you can't take the risk.....

A new car is always a new car. It come with trust and stress free feeling. You don't have to worry during the warranty period. Second hand car have their own issues one primary being, you have not nurtured it from ZERO kms. That's one of the biggest difference between new and second hand car. Vikas, my advice, buy new car. If budget is a issues, we all have, I think even jeep compass 4x4 or jeep compass trailhawk will make good choice. It's not always about the car it's about the people who drive it.

Try a different service center. I had good experience with Mahindra service center in mumbai for my scorpio. There were delays but quality was good.
