FOUND GUNS and MONEY | Exploring AMAZING Abandoned Time Capsule Abandoned Country Home

Basically the Time Capsule is the payoff for the things we explore most of the time!
I've been privileged enough over the years to explore some stunning time capsules, and this house that I'm going to share with you this week is one of those rare ones that only come around once in a blue moon!
It was discovered by accident, I was driving between locations and my navigation system was driving me along back roads when I drove by a house that actually made me say out loud to my self...
"What...the FU$K is THAT?"
It looked like a house out of the perfect horror movie, it reminded me of The House of Horrors from The Devils Rejects.
The wood on the exterior was faded, the house was surrounded by overgrowth, old dead cars, dead trees. The windows were faded, tattered curtains could be seen in the upstairs windows, there was a busted up kids swing set and see saw barely hanging on and lastly, there was an animal skull on the porch, a goat, complete with horns.
If you asked anyone to describe the ultimate haunted looking house - this house was it!

This house was lived in until fairly recently, by that probably within the last 5 to 10 years. Having said that....sadly, alot of older folks pass on and very few, if ANY, of their family members want anything to do with their stuff. I know...I did house cleanouts....many JUST like this one. A feeling of sadness takes over any feelings of exhilaration about finding cool and valuable stuff. Hopefully some of this stuff will find its' way into deserving hands.

It’s definitely someone’s house. Probably a storage house. Post 1990s trash can in the upstairs bathroom. Smoke detector beeping. Dish soap on the counter at 4:10. Plus in the very beginning you can see how well maintained the dirt road is. Living in Texas myself, if you don’t drive or maintain a road the forest will take it back quickly.

This house looks pretty much like what my brother-in-law found this year when cleaning out his parents' house for sale. Lots and lots of antiques, books, random junk piled everywhere. The house has been empty a year and a half. In the freezer, he found fruitcake from his brother's wedding in 1986 or something like that. He knew there was a rifle in there somewhere, one his dad had for shootin' varmints in the garden. After months of searching, he found it hidden in the rafters in the basement, pushed waaaay back where it couldn't be seen. Oddly, his dad made no effort to hide the bullets!

It’s a beautiful old house and great time capsule. However, keep in mind that the majority of houses explorers go into and film may not have anyone living in the home, but it’s not abandoned. The land that the home sits on, and the house are usually owned by someone. There are a lot of house like this where I live. These are old family homes most often still owned by the family. People get arrested all the time for going into homes like this. TBH.., if this was my families home, I’d be upset to see someone trespassing and putting up video of it. You’d be surprised how many people would actually give you permission if you asked first. I’ve toured a number of homes like this. When you ask permission, and they say yes, you’ll often get lucky, and someone from the family will take you through it, and tell you the history of the home and family.

It’s definitely owned by someone and is a storage shed the well maintained road in the beginning and the post 1990 trash can in the bathroom. Also the contents aren’t covered in dust and rat turns and no animals living inside. At 410 the bottle of dish soap that’s newer. The smoke detector going off.
