The power, beauty and wisdom in Dennis Brown's voice is no mystery, it has been said that Mr. Marley sighted Brown as his favorite vocalist.

Reggae world got a lot of very good singers with beautiful voices as Maxi Priest, Bares Hammond, Delroy Wilson, Drummie Zed, Dennis Brown, Mighty Diamonds and many many others. Respect to all reggae singers. Some like could, some like hot, some gold, some like silver

Fred Locks summed up everything...Bob was a finer songwriter while Dennis Brown ruled the vocals..Bob loved him and The Great keyboardist, founding members of Third Workd, Michael Ibo Cooper described Brown as "Jamaica's ultimate vocal stylist"

Respect to all Jamaican singers, They were/are all recognised in their musical field. Every human has different ears, different sound sonics with highs, lows and mid range...Bob Marley had a great voice but to me was not capturing my inner self. Dennis Brown however had some kind of difference...A divine intervention of sorts, a higher power, spiritual even, this man could sing...Steppers, Roots, Reality, Lovers Rock, he was the voice that my ears loved. From Three Meals a day to Here i Come, goodness and mercy did seem to follow this man's voice and presence whenever he put voice to vinyl..Dennis Brown was my No1 when i was 10 in 1974, fast forward 47 years later 2024 he still my No1...

Blessings Fred Locs 💜 whose Black Star Liner album fed me as a child with knowledge and the quest to overstand and to learn more about who we are. I memorised the whole album . ❤💛💚🖤 Dennis Brown definitely has one of the greatest vocals ranges coupled with his highly given beautiful velvet toned voice is one of the very very best of the very very best singers 🎼 💯🎼

The weird thing is that blacks like to talk a lot about wisdom and knowledge but put to the test preform at low caliber. If never heard a race of people talk so much and produce so very little for themselves. Jamaicans being a perfect example

Dennis Brown is really good, but Ernest Wilson was by far a better singer, just not as popular as Dennis

Dennis Brown wasn't given the credit he deserved internationally because he was dark skinned. White people that run the music world especially at that time didn't like it. They were comfortable with Bob Marley because he was mixed race and light skin. That's why he got all the praise as if he was the only singer to come out of Jamaica.

In my opinion...I don't think that any of the Marley family can really sing ... my because they do not have a voice of their own... when I listen to them singing they all went to sound like their dad ... and this is my opinion which I am entitled to.
