My humble tribute to two great voices of the twentieth century. Queen Freddie Mercury meets Big Luciano Pavarotti. A duet that all of us would have liked to see.

Agree. Freddie’s songs reflect his lifelong dilemma and regrets. His gay relationships led to aids and loss of his true love Mary. It seems as if he struggled with this til his death and as evidenced by the fact that he gave everything to Mary and not Jin Hutton. So sad !

Incontro tra musica lirica e musica pop... I Queen (Freddie Mercury) e Montserrat Caballè, quando negli anni 80 nessuno ci credeva, hanno dato inizio e nascita a questa bellezza... poi noi Italiani con i nostri Mostri Sacri (Pavarotti & friends, Andre Bocelli e il Volo), oggi, abbiamo saputo fare pure meglio e .... nessuno ricorda più perché è nata questa meraviglia! Grazie Freddie Mercury e Monteserrat Caballè che siete stati i primi (nel 1987) a unire le vostre voci, le vostre capacità canore e avete creduto per primi che tutto questo poteva essere possibile, bellissimo e meraviglioso per noi che stiamo ad ascoltare ... Musica.... ...GRAZIE - P.S Chi lo sa? Chi lo può sapere...? Magari Freddie cercava qualcuno di "lirico" in quegli anni 80/90 per realizzare i propri intenti estrosi tipo il "balletto" . Voleva portare il balletto alla portata di tutti e più di qualcuno lo ha dileggiato per averlo pensato ( vedi Sid Vicius dei Sex Pistols) e ... chissà se magari il più famoso in quegli anni (Pavarotti) gli abbia detto no - "non credo in questa tua idea" e poi magari si sia ravveduto riconoscendo che tutto era possibile e picaevole e poteva, addirittura, avere successo...!!!.... Secondo me, Freddie ha chiesto prima a quelli che riteneva i più classificati e forti.... poi dopo il loro rifiuto si è rivolto ai secondi. Monserrat caballier si è concessa e Lei , nonostante alcuni dubbi "ma solo raccolti da documentazione storica" si è concessa. Ed è stato l'inizio grazie a loro! Grazie a Freddie e Monserrat che è nata l'idea di farci ascoltare "un livello molto alto di musica" ... Soprattutto grazie a Freddie Mercury che già a quei tempi stava avanti, voleva proporci musica diversa "per quei tempi" ma oggi del tutto normale e contemporanea , solo GRAZIE a Lui. GRAZIE FREDDIE MERCURY!!!
