Sadly, no one has ever or will ever be able to hold a candle to Freddie's style of comedy genius. An outrageously funny guy with unrivalled talent. RIP my son.

What a fabulous unrivalled talent this man had, he was an absolute comedy genius and a fabulous singer as well. How heartbreaking that before he passed he was in a very bad place mentally and physically after all the accusations against him which I'm sure hastened his end. God bless his memory he was one of our very finest entertainers. RIP freddie.

A true entertainer, even as a kid growing up in the 70,s watching tv with mum and dad , grandma and grandad we all laughed together no age barrier on funny and laughter , fond fond memories of a time less evil , entertain heaven Freddie you will always be a true starr to the British working class , I was gutted to read of your passing as everyone I’ve told felt the same , destroyed by the media looking to bring down a star ⭐️ destroyed by false accusations by a greedy solicitor and evil accuser who was only after money as operation yew tree opened its doors to all who lived in the 70,s to come forward and accuse who they like and behind anonymity make countless claims on who ever they liked in the hope of financial gain your scum in fact your less than that !!!!!! Believe it or not, up in till a few days ago, I had never heard of Freddie. Here in the States, no mention of him. At least to me. Now that I've watched many of his videos, and heard his music, I feel I missed so much. Then I saw he passed in May of this year. He was very funny. He had talents, that no one could duplicate. And he had a gift of song, that was amazing. My favorite kind of music, was and is Oldies. Music of the 50's to the 70's. I've discovered other music artists and groups, besides my oldies, that I like as well. Now, I'm finding many different videos of Freddie, that keep getting better and better. What a tragic loss, and he will be missed!

He was a fantastic comedian and even better singer , bet he could have made it to the very top as a singer on it's own . He was accused of some vile crimes and it was all thrown out of court's , but the trouble is them vile crimes stick to you like glue for the rest of your life even if innocent like Freddie . I was on the same bill as Freddy many many times and I never faied to sit and watch him, he was an absolute genius and, if he liked you there is nothing he wouldnt do for you, if he disliked you he was your worst nightmare.

His talent was off the charts. There are great comedians around but very few entertainers of Freddie's talent.

Classic Freddie at his best and proves we dont have anyone now who can replace talent and brilliance of Freddie.

KZfaq reccomended Freddie Starr clips due to mt love of comedy. I subsequentyl looked at more of the same and was pleasantly reminded at the shear quality of this tormented man's comedy, sheer personality and multifacited talent. I was moved to tears when I discovered how violent his father had been towards him, even breaking bones and been placed into care and his own personal battles with himself and, latterly, the arrest by police as part of Operstion Yewtree that broke him, forced him to sell his home, incure massive legal fees and live out his final days as recluse in Spain in poor health (60 cigarrets a day didn't help of course) He was a complex person, falible like all of us and even a loner in many respects and unable to find the happiness in his life that all good, decent people deserve. Such a tradedy and bitter sweet life story. It still bothers me to look at footage of his final years, and reminds me that none of us know what life ultimately has in store for us. Thanks for making us all laugh (and marvel at your singing voice) Freddie, you really were a Starr indeed!

Saw him live at Wakefield Variety Club in the late 70s as our Xmas Bank "do" organised by our Bank Manager, Mike Barker who was such a funny boss, and this suited him to the ground. We had a fabulous night, all dressed up, as one did in those days. I am glad I saw him live before his passing. No-one like him since. RIP
