Rugby highlights of Freddie Steward from the 2018-2020 seasons. Freddie has represented Norwich School 1st XV, Leicester Tigers, at both academy and senior level, as well as England U18’s and U20’s during this time. Great video and fantastic demonstration of his attributes. Looks strong in contact, authoritative in the air, balanced with the ball in hand and a hell of an all round skill set. Only question I would ask is if he has the top end pace for senior rugby back 3? If I’m Tigers I would be tempted to blood him and back him for the rest of the season.

Thank you hope you liked and subscribed. He’s a top player and with a bit more pace he’ll be leathal as a prem fullback. Fingers crossed 2020/21 will see him get a lot more playing time

Top end speed is something you can improve with training. He’s clearly not filled out his frame at 106Kg, get him doing lower body workouts and his acceleration and max speed should improve. I imagine he’ll slowly move to 13 as he ages though.

Why does the academy team play with letters on their back?

Old Leicester tigers tradition. The 1st XV used to do the same until Prem rules forced them to change. If you look under the badge on the senior kit though they also have letters corresponding (e.g. 1-A)

Ahhhhh that is so annoying!!! To come all this way to get to play for ENGLAND just for everything to be cancelled due to COVID. Not to mention losing out on training

I'm sorry you dont like it, as most of the footage is not comentated I doubt a silent video is preferable . You can always mute the video if its that painful
