Appreciate the videos, very cool to see how things are done in the US (I'm in Australia). The majority of splicing I do is single fiber, but occasionally I do need to do ribbon splicing for distribution jobs but I borrow a ribbon splicer for those jobs. I'd love to know if you can use your ribbon splicer for doing single splices? I'm hoping to avoid buying/owning two separate splicers when potentially one could do the job. Thanks again for the videos ... not many people are doing high quality fiber splicing videos on KZfaq!

When the machine widow splits into 2 sides showing almost like there are 2 splices and then goes back to one main view with the splice. Is that a top and bottom view or something else? Also what is 40mm 12c std and SM:12c ? Love your videos. I love any test equipment. As an industrial generator tech I love using lab scopes and any other data acquisition devices. Channels that show how other trades use their equipment I find interesting. Keep the great content coming.

i think its interesting how the first arc blasts all the dust and other partials off the fibersc and how you can see the specs disappear on the arc test
