Very good point. Always pull the air cleaner off and clean out any debris and dirt. Years ago my friend was trying to start a old Ford pickup with a 351 in it, and it was making all kinds of racket. What was happening was it was sucking acorns and other shit that mice had packed inside the air cleaner into the heads. Luckily it did not damage the engine. Always pull the air cleaner. If a stone had been carried into the air cleaner the outcome would have been very different.

Love those old land yachts. I once bought a 1970 Cadillac Sedan Deville. It sat for 20 years. I put a good used battery in it, poured some gas in the carb, and it fired right up like it was only parked for a day. The tires were still good, alittle low on air. But was able to drive it home, with my father following behind me. Got home, and started fidgeting with the accessories, and found out that the AC was still somewhat charged. Found out it had climate control, because when I slid the leaver over, just a little air blew out. I turned this wheel with different temperature settings, then it started blowing somewhat cool air.
