That's a single phase compassitor start high rpm motor I think. Though to me honest as long as the alternator has a high enough output, any motor would probably suffice as long as it doesn't have too high a draw. But also why would you stop at one alternator? I would mount one to solely run the motor and use the other one for large applications

To power and entire house you need multiple units. The reason why this is working is because kinetic energy is extremely powerful and very efficient in the right aparitus. Cheers to these guys for doing it instead of just talking about it.

The fly wheel weight only matters proportional to the size motor and generator in other words the larger the drive motor then the larger the generator needs to be and The larger the fly wheel needs to be. Remember this is a balancing act between all components. Scale it up or down the formula remains the same, The generator needs to be two or three times the size of the drive motor it’s a balancing act with gear ratios to get the drive motor to run at its optimal efficiency rpm drawing the least amount of amps while turning both the fly wheel and the generator at the speed needed for the generator to output the amps needed to run the drive motor and Excess. The ones that work will always have a small motor pulley going to a much larger pulley turning the fly wheel . You have to do this otherwise the motor will draw too many amps the larger the gear ratio between the motor and the fly wheel pulley the lower the amp draw on the motor however you do have to get the generator to turn at the RPMs needed for it to put out enough power to run the drive motor and have excess power to spare so you can only gear down the drive motor to fly will pulley so far. Because you have to get that fly wheel up to a speed close to what the generator needs to spin at then you can gear up the output pulley on the fly wheel to get your Final RPM needed for the generator a balancing act between all components if you don’t follow the formula it will fail

The drive motor would be drawing less amps the larger the gear ratio between the drive motor and the fly wheel pulley the lower the amp draw on the drive motor however you still have to get to a certain RPM close Too what the generator needs In order to put out the amps needed to run the drive motor and have excess to spare. So if you decrease the 8 inch pulley to a 7 inch you would have to change the gear ratio between generator and fly wheel pulley to get your RPMs back up. Making these things work is a balancing act between all components the key is to get the fly wheel spinning at the RPM needed while using the least amount of amps from the drive motor to do it. Then you do your final increase RPMs at the fly wheel pulley to generator
