In Twentieth Century Studio’s epic adventure-comedy “Free Guy,” a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game decides to become the hero of his own story…one he rewrites himself. Just finished it a few minutes ago. Fantastic movie, in my opinion! Funny, wholesome, visually striking, the ending was surprisingly tense, and an all around incredible time! 9.5/10

The film was originally scheduled to release on July 3rd, 2020 but was delayed to December 11th, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On November 5th, 2020 the film was postponed indefinitely, before being rescheduled for May 21st, 2021. The film is now scheduled to release on August 13th, 2021

Joke aside I feel like the director nails it when it comes to making Jodie's character (Millie, not Molotov) behaving like a actual person instead of playing a 2 dimensional character, which i think it's rare since a lot of blockbuster directors make a mistake of turning their characters into a quipping or plot-exposing machine without any secondary personality
