Thank you, Sifu! In some way is there rising and falling at the same time? Sinking like hanging a chain (sinking and suspension). Rising, like stacking coins (rooted and rising). And also, at the same time filling and release, like a balloon. As the air goes inward there is an outward expansion and as air goes out an inward release. all of these together in harmony so that , externally there is little or no movement. Thank you as well for your other teachings on you tube.

You are certainly a master teacher, and I learned a lot from this, but I sure wish you had worn shorts so that I could see what your knees were doing. Sometimes you remind us of having them 80 to 90% bent. I realized mine were straight and corrected, but had I been able to see your knees the correct stance might have been easier to obtain. Anyway, thank you something refreshing and useful.

Basically it means relaxing the hips and softening the thigh. However there are degrees of relaxation. So the hips can be more or less closed. The thing you must get right is that the hips stay level - like a milestone. And the hips must never "pop" - that is there should always be, at least, a slight hollow where the hip and thigh come together. Just talking about the qua is not much help if you can't explain what is actually happening. That is something Master Huang always demanded of those students he authorised to teach.
