I migrated from Evernote to Notion last year and it’s been working well for me. The hardest part was getting to grips with when to use a table instead of a database (basically never) and how to make best use of all of the many features available. I must say that for just taking a quick and dirty note on my phone I find it overkill and usually end up going to something very simple like Google Keep. Other than that, the multitude of features available and the ability to reference and link have been very valuable to me. I did have a strange thing happen where I tried to give access to a page and then realised that the person then had access to all my notes, so Notion may want to reconsider how they have implemented sharing (either they’re doing it right and I didn’t understand how to do it safely or they are doing it wrong. Either way, I’m not impressed!)

Sharing is tricky in Notion.

Thank you for your excellent videos. I have a brief question regarding Notion. Although Notion offers impressive features, one of the main reasons I hesitate to use it is due to its poor search function. It doesn't support partial text searches. For instance, if I search for "legal", I would expect it to display all search results containing variations like "legal", "legalize", "legality", etc. This limitation becomes particularly problematic in collaborative settings or large projects, where you cannot predict the exact keywords others might use. From what I've observed, Notion seems to only return results that exactly match the word entered in the search bar. Could I be overlooking a feature? Thanks!

No, Notion doesn't have any way to broaden what it searches for. You're not missing anything. It only does that partial search for titles only, it seems.

@@PaperlessX Thanks for your reply and for checking this. I wish the Notion team would improve their search functionality in their next update. This is a must-have for a note-taking app that is focused on collaboration.
