I was the same. When he played for the Heat, I hated him. After his performance in the 2016 Finals, I became a fan. That was the only time ever that the same player has led BOTH teams of a 7-game playoff series in ALL FIVE categories -- points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. And he secured the championship coming from 1-3 deficit, on the road, against the team with the best record ever. To me, that's clearly the greatest feat in NBA history.

He doesn't always perform in the regular season but he DEFINITELY a big game player. You just can't let guys like him go. Dlo on the other hand is fairly consistent in season but disappears in games that matter. Keep Austin at all costs and trade Dlo.

@@dejandjukic7609if English isn't your first language, it can be tricky (hell, it can be trick for even native speakers!). "Two of the best" is not the same as "the two best". There were definitely two OF the best (group of) players on the planet in this game, even if the aren't necessarily the two absolute best of all. Joker quite possibly is, currently, the best. Giannis is amazing but I'm not sure he's doing enough every night to be top 2 of all players. But that's also probably a discussion for the end of the season ;-)

These are my two favorite teams, so I might be a bit biased, but this was definitely one of the most fun games to watch all year. Very impressive and intense competition between some great superstars! That timeout at the end was a joke, though, should have sent this game to overtime.

LeBron clearly called the timeout a second or two before the ball squirted out in slow replay but even if he didn't then the ball was kicked by the Sun's , Which makes it Laker ball, and if you didn't call the kick, the ball rolls to and touches the baseline after being touched by the Sun's, also then Laker Ball, anyway you slice it, no OT.

i love how everyone in the comments are saying "if lebron wins they not going to count this tournament" people werent valuing this tournament before it even started lmao. which is why ive been arguing that it should count. These tournaments dont have to be as valuable as the NBA Finals(single game elimination cant compare to a 7 game series) but it should be another wrinkle on your resume. at least imo. I just wish this existed in the past.

Everyone downplayed it because they expected everyone to just ignore the tournament and play regular season basketball. Instead, the intensity is clearly up a notch in this tournament. Of course, it's not an NBA title, but but we've had a higher level of intensity, so it has some value.

yeah, only a beast never gets fouled out, while simultaneously getting foul calls on all the other stars. Also it's very beastly when he gets to whine and complain to the refs, while others get T'd up for similar behaviour

This was Miami Bron, Bubble Anythony, & Olympics Reeves. Bron abused Book multiple times, Reeves had major impact off the bench & Davis played like a juggernaut man amongst boys. This LA team is damn near complete, damn near!

I just going to say this. I had a DejaVu year ago about this. It triggered when they were cleaning the ball, I was like seeing this wow. I saw LA winning the tournament and Chip this year as well. This was like a playoff atmosphere, Bron and Reeves played marvelous. Mr Street forgot to play the 2nd half 😂😂😂. I think we are used to that lol I like what KD said, it was one play that is not going to define why we list the game. Russel if he's not hitting any shots. He shouldn't play more than 17 mins.

Refs ruined this game. Borderline need to be investigated, the suns were disabled by bad foul calls early. The call at the end really sent me over the edge. Hard to watch as an general nba fan.

Yeah because it’s the Lakers, but when the Lakers get punished by the refs like against Boston last year with a obvious call it doesn’t matter. Also it doesn’t matter that Devin obviously foul Reaves late in an important possession and also doesn’t matter to you when the ball hit Devin foot and the refs didn’t call it. Bad calls are part of the game, cry me a river and move on

That loose ball timeout is what decided the game like how’s that a timeout? I’ve been watching the league ever since I could open my eyes and I’ve never seen anyone call a timeout on a loose ball. But if ur name is LeBron James then i guess everything has to go your way. Not a fan of either team but the suns got robbed. These refs are getting ridiculous every game
