Out of all the land animals: big foot, tigers, anacondas, lions, and bears.. The eagle is the only 1 that will have me trembling at the knees lol. They are the 1st animal that I fell in love with. They are so intriguing 💙

Neway.. This is a very well made, high quality documentary with stunning camera work and gorgeous scenery. Very impressive. There have been some studies showing that by painting the blades on the wind generators a dark contrasting color, birds tend to not fly into them.. This needs to be looked at. The fact that wind generators are killing birds upsets me to no end. I'd rather have no electricity PERIOD than to have those monstrosities killing our birds. We cannot replace an extinct animal.

I Iove requesting owls they are my favourite so big yet so small , light yet dark , smelly and not smelly , angry and happy the requesting owl is my favourite , i owned one as a child and would ride it around like some living breathing fighter jet , i do miss that owl 😢

Really nice film. As rightly appreciated by the other comments already. I am lost as to why this species would have been persecuted. The history is told but not really told why. Other than that people are pointlessly destructive. The story about lead shot could have been changed to: instead of don't use lead, to don't have a hunting hobby at all or minimise it greatly. This is the story of a Sea-Eagle of cold climates. There are other species of Sea-Eagle that live in mostly warm parts of the world. The African one and the White-bellied Sea-Eagle that lives from the Philippines to Australia. Interesting contrasts.

Hunting is a damn if you do damn if you don't scenario. Much of the funding used to create and manage wildlife refuges comes from the hunting sport. I do believe that lead used as a projectile and fishing weights needs to be banned. Also, old growth forest need to be protected to provide larger better trees for nesting.

@@usnchief1339 I have the impression that the funding you refer to relates to hunting waterfowl, rather than eagles. But I am not there. In Australia, where I come from, hunting birds is not a common activity. Or it is not widely regarded as acceptable behaviour by average people (other than those few who do) and it is widely and vigorously protested. And thus it does not contribute greatly to funding for "conservation". It does however still occur (sadly) and those few do cause significant loss, often of legally protected species. Though waterfowl numbers are surely much more impacted by flood and drought than human hunting.

They are just as supreme, but don’t get me wrong I think golden eagles are so fascinating, their bones and muscles are so strong weighing 12 pounds taking down animals 3-4x their size , it’s incredible!!!!
