Fun Fact: Lord Brevon was originally going to be a scientist (much like Eggman), but they made a final decision to make him a warlord instead, which I like way better.

I love the tone of the game is the sugary world fighting off the darkness of brevon.

That's something I love about Freedom Planet, it s an excellent mix between a beautiful and colored world with a serious feel without ruining the first point with an edgy feeling.

Well the son is younger and probably not as resistant to manipulation. Plus he wouldn't be that dangerous to Brevon if something went wrong. Last but not least the devs tried to set the tone for Brevon who is a cold blooded murderer that stops for nothing to achieve his goals. It's an old trick to build up a character that you can hate and want to confront at some point for justice.
