I love how Brevon finally takes the main characters seriously, they are an actual threat to his army. And how pissed Lilac and Brevon get at each other lol

This boss is - by far - one of the most built-up, challenging and satisfying bosses in the history of fast paced 2D gaming. If this came out way back when, we wouldn't have as many people talking about sonic, mario or link.

Casual: One try is all you need. It's pretty easy. Easy: You might die, but after a few tries, Brevon will fall. Normal: You better learn the patterns, or you'll be sitting on your chair for a long time. Hard: You will not survive. Brevon punishes every slight mistake you make with instant death... over and over again.

I managed to beat this game on hard with 0 deaths on my third playthrough.... Never Fucking Again.

It's been too long since I've yelled "AHHHHHHH HE KILLED ME AGAIN" and had the resolve and determination to keep fighting, Galaxy Trail you bunch of geniuses.

The final boss sequence of this game really, REALLY reminds me of Megaman Zero 3's fight with Omega/'Original Zero', in the best possible way. Starts off with a huge powerful mech, transitions into an even more powerful mech, then finishes with an unexpected, hella intense, amazing final fight with a goddamn deadly opponent your own size which puts the previous 2 forms to shame and has you dashing all over the place just to stay alive let alone fight back. Sublime boss design made even better by awesome music. :D

This honestly makes me cry with how amazing this song is. So much emotion, so much tension, so much power! Truly fits a great final boss like Brevon.

You'd think that Brevon is an expy of eggman, but Brevon completely surpasses Eggman in terms of how far he's willing to go to kill the protagonists.

I actually learned about this game from SomecallmeJohnny's review. I got this game when it was on sale and I LOVED it.

I had an easy time trying to beat Brevon as Milla with all the shields she was able to pop unlike where I had to keep playing dodge as Lilac. This game will always be one of my favorites.

I died 19 times on this boss on my first play through. I've never focused so hard when fighting a boss before.

The one person who gave this a thumbs down was the king he slaughtered at the beginning.

You know I tried doing this fight on normal, and fucked it really hard. I switched to easy and got that shit done (I did easy for the rest of the playthrough beforehand btw), but I feel the need to go back and try and fight him again on normal mode. I'm not sure how to describe it but having issues on all three phases reminds me now of when I went through the final moments of cave story, dying constantly in hell and making it to Ballos several times before finally doing him in. I feel I could do the same here, I just need time.

Fun fact Carols Kill Sequence after landing the final hit on Brevon is more violent then Lilac’s as Mila is the person who saved Carol from Relic Maze as it was collapsing so her hatred towards Brevon is worse then Lilac’s While yes Lilac’s one is more aggressive then Carol’s one is much more violent then Lilac’s in my opinion as she literally goes Berserk and almost full on Feral on Brevon with Wild claw and Kick. Also Carol getting forced to kill Mila in the Mutated state Brevon’s Poison knife puts her in takes bigger emotional Toll on Carol then Lilac as well. Also let’s not forget that Carol willingly allows Mila follow her to the Red Scarves Hideout somewhere in Shang-Mu after the three of them split at the end of Jade Creek. She doesn’t even mention her past life as a Red Scarves Member until they get to Trap hideout.

I wish Brevon has his HARD difficulty battle on NORMAL, and on HARD mode he would have: -------------------------------- - You have to beat all three forms per one time. If you're killed on step 2 or 3, you have to start from Absolution fight. - Absolution is more faster. - Absolution now has random patterns for its big green laser shots - different frequency of shots. - Absolution can shoot laser beams at different height. - Absolution now jumps much longer (so you can't just simply stay behind its laser shots - you have to jump in gaps between laser beams). - Mecha Armor is more faster. - If you dodge Mecha Armor's crazy bouncing attack, he immediatelly turn back and moves to you again, so you have to dodge it more than one time. - Green stars attack now affects floor too. You have to react and carefully jump through shots. - Brevon final form is EVEN MORE faster. - Brevon actually beheads you (like he did with King of shuigang) after using knife attack or when you die by any other of his attacks, leaving your headless body. - Brevon's knife attack is more dangerous if you're very close to him (including his very first attack at the beginning of battle). It can instantly behead you, taking all of your possible health petals and killing. - Brevon can use his knife attack IN AIR (So, you need to jump over his knife attack when he is very close to you, not when he's on the other side of map and you hear his attention roar. Or you will be instantly punished) - You can't parry Brevon's knife with any of your attacks. He will hit you anyway. (everything just like in Thermal Base, when he hits Lilac while she uses Dragon Boost...) - Brevon's grab attack deals little damage to you, so you now have to dodge it too. - Brevon is more smarter now, so if he uses ground time mines and you ran out of them, he already waits for you and can use or knife attack, or his grab attack to throw you RIGHT AT THE BOMBS, so they deal you huge damage. (no more moments when he SAVES you from his own mines, grabbing ad throwing you AWAY from them and their explosion) - Brevon now can throw instant-explosion mines, throwing them on the floor or walls, like he does when you're on ceiling. - Brevon now can make more than one shot from his personal blaster. And he definitely can make direct shots (right at your current position) and deflection shots (where you will be at the moment when plasma blast gets you) - His super attack move pattern is randomized. - When he exits his super attack move, he can appear in any place. If appears right behind or very close to you, he makes quickest knife attack that can instantly kill you. - Brevon has health regeneration? :3 Maybe? :3 As act of revenge for your Easy and Casual modes!.. ah yes the amount of time it took to take this guy down on my first playthough was upsetting. don't do hard mode first, it makes the game slightly less pleasant. however taking Breven down on hard mode feels amazing!

Actually, why DID Lilac care so much about Milla? I'm not saying someone wouldn't be horrified at seeing Brevon do something like that, but why would "NO ONE HURTS MILLA" be the only thing out of Lilac's mouth as she pounds Brevon into a wall? Shouldn't say something more appropriate, like "YOU WONT DOOM OUR WORLD" or something?
