Brevon is like an eggman boss that doesn’t hold back No robots No minions No deity of legends Just you and the villain No holds death match

The worst part about his final form: he doesn't just kill you, HE GIBS YOU. Very few other final bosses give you that level of overkill. Hell, he even goes out of the way to gib you if you died with the normal fall down animation. It was so satisfying to kick his ass after having been gibbed 50 times by him.

Now I can actually take this bad guy more seriously. He may hide behind his troops and robotics, but he can go hand to hand in combat. He doesn't just let his troops do all of the work, he DOES the work. Robotnik was just a scientist who I doubt can throw a punch without high tech.

One of the few villains that makes 100% sure you won’t be bothering them again

Dat moment when you thought Serpetine was dead, and realise he was just hidding in his armor. Nice example of Disney death. LOL

To defeat Brevon: He will only throw you around for the most of the fight. When he fires his gun, be prepared to dodge. The best way is by using your special move while facing him. this will cancel the attacks out and you receive no damage. This method made the fight much easier for me.

As a funny note I should mention this was done before they nerfed Brevon's final form by making him not hurt you up close from what I remember, they nerfed him like week into the release. I MOST LIKELY will get Freedom Planet 2 when it comes out and finish it quick and post the neat stuff.

Brevan's ability holds up to his capability through the story as you see it. He isn't killing other important characters with one hit for no reason as you can see in this video. One melee hit will seem to secure his inevitable victory for most.

This game is an example of what kind of 2d platformers need to come back. Nowadays in indie titles we get extremely hard stuff like Super Meat Boy, Spelunky, La-Mulana and such. I'm not saying they're bad. In fact I love those games. But Freedom Planet and Shovel Knight are setting an example for what TYPE of platformer really needs to return more often.

If I remember right, I like how when your last move is the dragon charge, it immediately goes to that ending smash, it's waaaaay more satisfying, especially after loosing to him so many times.

Fantastic game that Sega could learn a lot from. I love this!

Man, like alot of others are saying, I love how Brevon can walk the walk and once he loses his machines, he's just as dangerous. When I finally got to him and got through his first two phases after one or two tries, I knew shit was real when he's the ONLY enemy in the whole game that can grab Lilac out of a Dragon Boost. I love how his pattern is different than most of the bosses where he just goes full ham and charges after you over and over.

What a BOSS! I beat him but MAN did he cost me some lives! I lost WAY more lives with Carol than Lilac. I didn't get here with Milla in Classic Mode just yet. I wonder how that'll turn out with her low health. I wish she had an Adventure Mode too...even though she was with Carol mostly. This game is fun. I'm glad I bought it.

I remember playing this game for the first time. I died 31 times, and 16 of those deaths were from this stage alone. And I was play on Easy. EASY. But it was worth it.

Welp, after seeing SomecallmeJohnny's review and this video, I'll definitely be checking this game out when I get the chance. Although it was Sonic inspired, this game seems to have some originality going for itself and sure as hell looks like it knows how to please fans of 2d platformers.

For the record Freedom Planet is a fun, cheerful, sweet, sugary, and light-hearted with the vile and evil villain Lord Brevon who's the worst video game villain compared to M.Bison from the Street Fighter series but is even worse than M.Bison and fights differently from M.Bison in some ways but Lord Brevon's cape attack is compared to M.Bison's psycho crusher for some matter. Lord Brevon may use machines in battle compared to Dr.Eggman from the Sonic the Hedgehog series but Brevon can also fight in combat on the ground and Lord Brevon is a lot worse than Dr.Eggman who's just a scientist. Where Lord Brevon who's a warlord. The final boss Lord Brevon in the Freedom Planet game is intense, epic, and is one of the hardest boss fights in video games and it will take everything you've got to defeat Lord Brevon. More importantly Lord Brevon crossed the line and went too far mutating Lilac's cute friend Milla and turning Milla against Lilac which angers Lilac and goes after Brevon. When Lilac defeats Brevon she angrily gives Lord Brevon a major beat down big time when he crossed the line and went too far for hurting Milla. Mind-control is one thing but mutating is going too far. When Brevon's begins to self-destruct he escapes and so does Lilac in an escape pod. Lilac and friends are happy that Milla is alive as she recovers and everybody looks up and sees that the kingdom stone has changed form and the world and the earth is saved from the vile and evil monster Brevon and everyone has their lives back and Prince Dail becomes the new king in his father's place. Torque thanks his friends for helping him and he tells his friends that they will all see each other again and says goodbye to them and flies back to his home planet. Freedom Planet is the best retro game ever compared to Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

I fucking hate this bossfight. Not because it's hard, but because I've accidentally quit on the third phase 4 fucking times when trying to restart after losing too much health, and had to replay the whole fucking level multiple times as a result. Still haven't beaten the fucker yet.
