Hi I have a 1 trying to pull an rzr polaris on a trailer in hills finding it really hard some times dosend drive turn off in hill ??

the tube of the vacuum rail onto the front of the vacuum it should go on the back and the front vacuum pipe going of the front onto the turbo actuator or you will have problems especially if it is a auto

I assume you’re referring to the vacuum chamber. Someone else mentioned this a while ago so I checked and the way I have them fitted is correct. When I fitted the new pipes I made a note of where the original pipes were and fitted the new exactly the same.

believe me please especially if you have a auto box what you have is wrong asi said the rail vacuum pipe goes onto the back of the chamber and the one on the front of the chamber goes over the engine and down to the turbo actuator we have had freelanders for nearly 24 years and the vacuum chamber should have valves in it @@freetimeonline

I’ve got a Td4 2004 auto and what Ive done taken the egr off for a blanking plate but it don’t have a vacuum pipe on it so what do I connect the pipe off the original egr too .

@@cliffperry8470just put a blanking plug in the end of the pipe, use a tight fitting bolt or similar.

Hi.. my freelander has no power at all but its not smoking. Could it be these small pipes as well?

It could be, very easy to check these pipes for holes/splits or soft spots that will cause the pipe to collapse.

Really useful vid thanks ! Subscribed. My td4 is getting smokey on acceleration and intermittently has flat spots on acceleration coupled with big clouds of smoke as it hits the flat spot. I disconnected the maf......no change in symptoms.......any ideas ? Thanks 😊

@@robber9305 these symptoms can be caused by a blocked engine breather, there is a upgraded part available on eBay made by BMW which is a simple replacement for the old foam filter, it’s a fairly easy job to change it. Search eBay for ‘freelander 1 td4 engine breather’ and they should come top of the results. Worse case scenario is your turbo oil seals have badly failed and it’s about to pack up but this is rare.
