Great video - covering awareness of an area instructors often miss out - by focusing exclusively on other aspects (edging, pressure etc) . Would it have been better to mention that the lateral control exercise is only possible if the skier is in central balance and correctly flexed at all key joints - the 'home base' skiing position? Without this set up, the bio-mechanics of the skeleton prevent the movement. This is one reason why so many skiers' legs separate during turns - causing loss of balance and control - if you are not in the correct posture and balance on the outer ski, you have to push it out causing further loss of balance. Some of these problems are also a leftover from poor instruction which tells beginners to push on the ski to turn it - ignoring the transition action and the progressive application of pressure (ie. not whammed in from the start!) Great videos, please keep them coming. They are well presented and explained. Thanks - from a still learning professional.
