I just started learning how to sleep and you have described me, the breathing is so hard, I always get water in my mouth and start choking. I will definitely try what you said at my next swim class. Question once I put my face in the water do I start blowing out the bubbles right away or when I'm about to turn my head to breathe.
@RocketSwimming
@RocketSwimming Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Yes, breathing is definitely hard for beginners but it'll improve if you follow the correct technique. Let me know how your swim session goes, okay? Regarding your question about blowing bubbles. It is better to start blowing out bubbles as soon as your nose and mouth goes under the surface of the water. That way you don't have to worry about blowing out suddenly when it's time to breathe in. Few seconds matter a lot! - Niraj (CDO)

Is this something to start teaching a beginner swimmer an 8 year old? I would have to get this concept down pack. I'm just learning the hold your breath to float, glide technique and begginer swimmer techniques is what I taught her from your video, She got it!! I did video her swimming, she loves the flip and float technique, also I'm not a swimmer yet, I'm praying at my age a beautiful 59 I will be able to swim one day soon. As long as my granddaughter know how to survive now in water I'm happy. Only took her two days to learn the basics and now she's a begginer swimmer. I'm one proud Grandmother today

Hello.. loved your video! I know only breast stroke so I’m used to breathing in through my mouth n breathing out with my nose. Recently I started learning freestyle and the breathing technique has been so hard. When I do breathe in from the side, I take in water too. How do I prevent that from happening? Your video is really good n would like to learn more from you. Please continue posting! Thanks!

Thank you for your compliments! I really appreciate it. The side breathing is really easy if you understand the correct technique. It all requires the correct timing to take a perfect side breath. Practice hand-lead kicking drills to get a grasp of turning yourself in the water and taking a breath. Please watch this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/muCniK5ivdyulYk.html I always suggest to exhale through nose and inhale through mouth. Keep me posted on your swim journey and feel free to ask questions.

I always suggest swimmers to exhale through nose as it will prevent you from inhaling the water. Inhaling the water through is very painful experience.

That means using only half of your mouth/lips to breathe in. Open just half of your mouth. This prevents the water from going in.

Do you start exhaling immidiately after you put your head back in the water after taking your breath? I feel like I have a wrong timing or something because I either still have air in my lungs while it comes to take a breath or I empty my lungs on half way to take a breath and then sink or feel like need to stop to breath. Any advice will help.
@RocketSwimming
@RocketSwimming 7 ай бұрын
Yes, start exhaling immediately so you get plenty of time to breathe out. I suggest to empty lungs only half way so you have little bit of air left in your lungs. Let me know how it goes.

Breathing in swimming can be a bit tricky at first, but with practice, you'll get the hang of it. When you turn your head to breathe, make sure to keep one ear in the water and turn your head to the side. Don't lift your head up too much, as that can cause water to enter your nose and mouth. Exhale gently through your nose or mouth as your face is in the water to avoid taking in water while you breathe. Remember, it's a gradual process, so keep practicing and you'll improve over time! 💪🏊‍♂️

@RocketSwimming
@RocketSwimming Жыл бұрын
Don't worry, it's common to make mistakes when learning a new technique, and it's great that you've realized your mistake. Correct breathing is an essential aspect of swimming freestyle, and it can take time to get the technique right. Keep practicing and focusing on taking a deep breath before your stroke, and then exhaling steadily as you complete your stroke. Remember to turn your head to the side and slightly behind your to inhale when needed, and try to keep the air in your lungs rather than your stomach. With practice and persistence, you'll soon master the correct breathing technique for freestyle swimming. Good luck!

When it comes to keeping your body at the surface of the water, it's all about finding a relaxed and streamlined position. Try to stay straight and aligned in the water, and avoid lifting your head too high or letting your hips sink. Keep practicing and focusing on maintaining a balanced body position, and you'll improve over time. Happy swimming! 🏊‍♂️😊
