The thing about the "freestyler ban", they aren't being banned for freestyling in casual. They're receiving bans for match fixing. Game throwing / griefing is a reportable offense - these people who were banned were intentionally losing matches to derank so they could still hit clips and make it look like it's against "real players". It's not about "freestyling", it's about clipping on people by deranking. Any freestyler you know and like who says the bans were unfair you might want to ask them for the receipts

Exactly. I’m so sick of trying to play a match and then getting clapped on by a freestyler. By the time the game is almost over it’s like 5-2. Then they just leave or forfeit. It’s such an empty win that it hurts more than a loss. Plus they always love to BM if you mess up their shots in any way

Last hide and seek video I watched was the Minecraft map hide and seek and I'll say, this one was MILES better. Like the whole upgrade system, voice chats, and everything just synergyzed really well into an awesome game mode. The map was sick too for this.

Since freestyle is so popular they should create a mode for it. No mmr but after each goal players in the match can skip or score the freestyle, 1-5 or 1-10. Instead of banning them, give them a place to go. Seems a lot like when skateboarding growing in popularity, we constantly faced being yelled at for skateboarding around public buildings. We weren't trying to be disruptive or destructive, we just didn't have anywhere to go. City finally put in a skate park and problem solved.

Psyonix did make an official statement on this... the freestylers who were banned were intentionally deranking to play against bad players so they could freestyle on them... they kept the matches to 5 mins of OT, which is no less than keeping someone hostage

tbf if they didn't change casual so that ppl couldn't leave w/o a forfeit then this wouldn't be possible, should just revert to leave when u want casual matches so that they are actually a casual experience instead of just mini ranked

Imo freestyling can be done just as well in 1v1 private matches. I'm hard stuck diamond and it's just kind of annoying to go up against people with GC level mechanics when I'm just trying to play casual with my friend

I've been playing more ranked bc I'll get smurfed on in casual every other game which sucks bc i play casual when i want to play with lower ranked friends and next thing i know i see ppl air dribbling flip reseting mustying on me and I'm a plat.

Idea: Goal is a ball with a lot of openings (nets) like a wiffle ball. Players can move both the goal ball and the score-able ball.

idk if you’ve tried this before but if you go under a certain kph you get demod “ROCKET LEAGUE BUT THERES A SPEED MINIMUM??!” 3-5 seconds of spawn protection depending on the minimum speed

I have no problem with freestylers in low ranked lobbies. As long as they forfeit the match, and let the players know that they will do so. Their mechanics are far superior, and it is not fair to newer people to lose to someone better than they are because higher level players can block the shots fine.

in my oppinion its okay to ban the smurfs. people are struggling to get better and reach the next rank all the time so its really frustrating to face i higher level player. and be honest every second or third opponent in lower ranks is a smurf. casual against a higher ranked player than yourself is okay because you can learn and get better but... a gc against a diamond makes no sense I say theres not enough bans

You are right. And after they beat you 10:1 they just throw insult after insult at you. Or: ,,you are so bad, i think i play in bronze right now.'' Stuff like that. At least that is reportable. And i got a note the other day with something like:,,Thank you for your report'' , or something like that. I even asked psyonix about this but they were like: NO and we dont care. Just more polite -_-

Casual is to play casually and get better. Not to get shit on by some freestyler who wants to clip on a silver when they could do the same thing against a bot. Clip on your own rank if you want impressive clips. Leave the crazy clips to freestyle tourneys. I would also like to point out that they got banned for intentionally lowering their skill rating and throwing games. Not for freestyling.

@@savagesquiwel8656 Yes, psyonix can host the match and have officials watch shots before they allow someone in a tournament. They can watch the players streams. But also Alphaconsole, TAS, and bakkesmod only work in training not in a private match. There's plenty of ways to get around it and ensure the players participating have authentic shots that aren't faked. No need to make excuses.

@@vinusonyt Even if they do it's very obvious to tell a real clip from a fake clip. People use TAS to go back in time and make perfect inputs to make the shot better. That would be very obvious if you are in a private match with other people. There's too many stupid people in this community trying to make excuses. Just hit clips against people your own rank and none of this would even be a conversation. Freestylers need to shut the fuck up when they get banned for a month because they are intentionally lowering their rank for clips that aren't even impressive. Double resets are way more impressive against people who know how to defend than a penta heli against a little timmy that doesn't know what's going on.

in my opinion as a not so good player freestylers ruin the game when they do it in casual because you cant do anything and its so annoying just do it in private matches and ranked like stop doing it on trash players because you're not good enough to do it on your own skilled players

I mean, yeah you obviously have matchmaking/mmr in casual (in RL and any other game), because otherwise the mode would be unplayable for lower ranks. The whole point is, that you don't have an open Ranking system, so there is nothing on the line.

such good timing, I called MK out for doing this on stream 1 day before the drama started, and he goes "its just casual bro nobody cares" and I thought hmmmmm okay okay okay wow. So glad they are starting to ban these people. Unsubbed from Pulse channel, MK and JZR were my heroes now I think they are dogs without a conscience. When I play in even 1 rank below my skill level it feels terrible for me, like I am doing something really ethically morally bad. Dunno how they do it tbh

@@andrew58921 in Jzrs new video an opponent own goals and JZR laughs and points it out to the chat in a way that just makes him seem like an asshole. He's in disbelief that someone way worse than him is way worse than him. I don't think there's any need for that. He's a bully and I can't support it. It's no big deal in the real world but I feel let down that someone who I looked up to could be such a snake.

I like Leth's content and all, but I have to agree with Krohner on this one. In my first week or two of playing rocket league, after playing only racing car games and fifa, I stuck to casual for a while. Only to meet up on a 2v2 team of freestylers. At that point I could barely hit the ball on target the way I'd like, muchless dribble or air dribble. Then seeing those players driving up the wall with the ball and doing what appeared to me at the time like sticking to the ball and flying straight to my net to score, of course avoiding any chance a player (at the time) at my level has to defend the shots. My teammate and I had to just leave that lobby, it was pointless for us to continue that match when we couldn't even touch the ball once they made their way to some boost. With that said, I feel the pain of new players meeting up on freestylers. I know a lot of people love freestyling and would love to use it against other players, but why not use private matches, they could create private match lobbies with a name like 'freestyle' or just try their shots in lobbies with players in their own ranks rather than lower level players, just saying

Agreed, the game can be frustrating enough at lower ranks. It really sucks when you go to casual to get away from sweatys and have to play people who are better than your ranked opponents.
