Your arrival at Motion RC brought the atmosphere of the paddock from the F-1 .... (shortening and enhancing the front wheel etc) I really like this because I argue that every stock model needs to be promoted , to some extent, from an expert... so ...Thanks so much dear Stuart.

Stuart, I bought my 3rd jet from Motion...this one to be exact. Ive been flying ducted fan jets for decades, old Byrons and BVM's with nitro engines and fans, these by far are my go to jets, I believe for the money these represent good value, ease of set up and fly proper, I think Motion products are great products. I do wish they would come out with some composite jets, but that would defeat their business model. Fine video as well.

i love tight turns at lower speeds it looks like its skidding through the sky. we have the 6s version

Ya, looks scale when ya slow it down..that body & wing create lots of lift, ya just need to keep power in as "whipping" sticks, that wing & control surface deflections create tons of drag..eating airspeed.. bumping throttle 1-2 seconds BEFORE maneuvering hard helps a lot!

Great flight! I have a tendency to lose orientation on the Raptor on an overcast sky if I look away. Very nice landing.

I know the feeling, I maidened my ft viggen that I hadn't painted yet (I used free plans and white dollar store foamboard) when it was completely overcast and almost couldn't see it the majority of the flight

It's definitely an awesome model, but that Mig-29 Fulcrum is the one that rocks my boat,nonetheless the Raptor is a fine jet. It's just me

I absolutely love my Freewing F-22 90mm and it is only 6s ! BTW while I have a lot of experience with other planes EDF jets are my weak point . I can't recommend it high enough for an entry into the larger EDF jets ! Now I want to upgrade to an 8s but can I do it in such a way that I could still fly on 6s if the mood hits ? Thanks guys for an awesome plane !

When you shorten the spring it actually increases the spring rate or in other words it makes the spring stiffer

keep the plane level and stable + add some small movements to the sticks. play a bit with the throttle

I am using a precision aerobatics katana 52 and an extra 300 and am thinking of getting this. Should I move to something else like a smaller jet or a different type of plane before I move into it?

This F-22 surely has trainer characteristics for an EDF, but we usually don't recommend an EDF this large as a first EDF is only for the price. Only you know your confidence level with setups, pre-flights and flying. If you are ready than you will love this one. But other less expensive, great started EDF options from Freewing are the Avanti, L-39, T-33, F-86.

My F22 is a dog on 6s. Wish I had purchased the 8s. It's just too big and heavy and slow on 6s for me personally.
