To all the smart people in the comments: -Omagatoki Adversity doesn’t give crits, it boosts dmg the lower your hp is -Impaler Animus last for one attack only, -figment slash has piss low accuracy but crits if it lands, you guys had no idea how long it took for all 4 of my team to land it with max buff -Freikugel was chosen cause a)it scales with strength, b) its the only element Demifiend doesn’t resist, a crit with -a crit with omagatoki critical using freikugel would have clutched, but unfortunately none crit, -this us a Rng Strat

You could have tried to mute Demi Fiend during extra press turns instead of chipping away from his health so he wouldn't use Mediarahan. But seeing how your party got Mamudoon'd, that wouldn't help much without anyone buffing you for that last one (or two) hit(s)

@@zappiestlynx9567 That's irrelevant, they were built to accomplish a goal thing is the strat was RNG based and all of them being females have nothing to do with it. In fact I know that both Abdiel and Artemis have pretty high strength which works with Freikugal. If RNG favored the Freikugal Crits than he would have possibly won the fight and you wouldn't be throwing out thirst squad or saying cope. Everything he said in the pin comment is true here and not coping they're explaining the process behind the mechanics at play here

Fun Fact: Friekugel gets its name from a German Opera called Der Freischütz. In it, a marksman makes a deal with a devil to recieve seven magic bullets (the Freikugeln) on the condition that the devil control the final bullet In other words, you should have known better than to challenge a devil with his own bullets

It's dlc 10 dollars and you have to fight all other fiends before also if you don't two shot him he will cast mediaran and Regain all his health but he does that once also I fought him under level and on safety yes he's that hard it took an hour

If they went for murakumo instead of figment slash they woulda been able to kill. That one dumb cheese strat where you low health and give yourself all the press turns you can kill demifiend in that amount of time since it’s 20k per hit.

Fun fact, he's also a Bonus Boss in SMT: Digital Devil Saga 1. The battle against him uses the normal random encounter theme from SMT3. So basically, to you he's the hardest fight in the game. To him, it's just a couple of mooks to be slaughtered. Also, he also has Pixie with him in that fight. *Don't kill it, he gets pissed if you do.*

This move doesn’t even crit as often as something like Steel Needle, although that’s kinda cheating since it’s a multi hit move meaning every hit has a chance to crit, Steel Needle has a 20% crit at base which is the same as Freikugel but due to its multi hit nature it actually has a 80% chance to crit if all hits connect.

The odds for at least 1 of the four attacks to crit would be approximately 59% because probability doesn't stack directly with each instance

@@dream6562 that's not how probability works if you have 20% chance to crit 5 times you have to calculate your chance to miss crit each time, you have 80% chance to miss crit, inside that 80 you have to calculate another 80 for the next instance and do so 5 times unless i'm dumb the chance of getting at least 1 crit should be 70~ but it's been years since i've done it

He does, it's called Murakumo. The literal best skill in the game. Severe Physical Almighty with a times 3 instead of a times 2 crit damage. The inverse of Friekugal which another Severe Physical Almighty with double crit rate instead of additional crit damage.

Pretty late (as someone who unfortunately dosen't have smt 5 nor a switch yet) but in Apocalypse Dlc against stephen i remember it being more powerful considering if Demi-Fiend smirked it gives him 2x magic tho... Then again if smt 5 retain the smirk system the damage output would be all over the place!

Finally, I saw someone using adversity + impaler animus + figment slash. Sadly not a single one Freikugel crit. Sirlionhart made a strategy with safeguard with all these skills plus savage gauge skill in 2021, so his nahobino figment slash dealt double damage.
