Comment vas-tu? = How are you? (Literal translation = How are you going?) Comment allez-vous? = How are you (all)? (Literal translation = How are you (all) going?) I love the way Alexa teaches. She takes her time to enunciate and speak slowly. Unlike many other videos on here, they're more into showing off than actually teach.

Dafael Reiró Vlw ai cara. Aprender frances parece um desafio e tanto, mas eu imagino o quão gratificante deve ser conseguir falar pelo menos em um nivel intermediario com um nativo. Eu pretendo continuar estudando, se voce um dia retomar os estudos a gente pode aprender juntos, ou talvez eu te ensine ( se eu conseguir ficar em nivel avançado haah )

Sorry man, can't quite agree on that. While it's true that the US have fairly little contact with other countries geographically and culturally speaking, it's undeniable that with the internet as a learning tool, that small obstacle was well taken care of. As for the whole "we live in a place that much of the world's population woud love to be in" that's kind of a rude simplification. I for one know way too many people who thinks the US is not that much of a country to begin with, though that might be because Brazil has become sort of a southen american version of the US with a whole lot more corruption on the side and less morbid obesity, due to the interventionist policy of the US and the historical ass kissing our government xD still, the fact that most of the world speaks english might be a predominant factor in this issue. I mean, why learn another country's language when english is spoken worldwide, right?

I think videos with 5 to 10 minutes, in a series, each touching a specific point is the best way to teach language online. Congrats and "obrigado"!

I just found this KZfaq. Love it. I studied French in high school and college but have forgotten so much over the last 45 years with no one to practice with. This is an engaging video series and I am hoping to help my grandchildren learn a bit of French. About all I truly remember is how to say the Pledge of Allegiance which we did every day in high school French.

Honestly u are very good in teaching,I love the way u take it gently when pronouncing the words in french and breaking it down.am from Nigeria,I never take it serious in school when my french teacher is teaching though I was a kid then and now am willing to learn french. Thanks madame Alexas

This is wonderful!!!! Thank you SO SO much for this, Alexa! They tried to teach languages at school, it was worse than useless. Wordsearches twice a week isn't learning, funnily...When I got to France, they couldn't even understand my accent saying "baguette". I'm so ashamed I'm still uni-lingual, so I have started an early new years resolution to learn a new language. I'm only on day one but can already say the colours and numbers 1-100 okay(ish!) Small steps :)

Same here, But I already learned far more than this basic videos by observing French speakers. I couldn't continue my French class for several surgeries. But I'm good in learning languages so quickly. I speak 7 languages and understand many more languages as well. Actually, I'm a linguistique. But still I want to go through all the videos for the exact accent like native speaker. Thank you both Alexa you and my device.

I'm homeschooling my 6 year old son this year and he wanted to take up French. Only thing is, I'll be learning with him!
