C'est vrai. J'ai fait cette vidéo parce qu'il y avait trop de fautes et certains élèves ne se préoccupent pas du tout des liaisons. J'espère que cela les aidera à l'examen,

Interesting. I didn't know this. In the beginning, I made a 'liaison' with every consonant + vowel, which was stressful speaking-wise. However, I eventually just started doing it subconsciously in the right places. Although, I suppose I miss quite a few. By the way, you mentioned compulsory liaisons, so am I to assume that there are also optional ones?

You will make the right liaisons after a while because you live in France. However, it is important to know when to make them. There are optional liaisons and forbidden ones too. I will have to make a video on those as well. As CSEC examiners, we penalise for compulsory liaisons which are not made or forbidden ones we hear. That is why I teach my students to link from the outset. You will not hear a French native not making any liaison. The reading passages I created 'Springcleaning' and 'My first trip' illustrate those points will give you an idea which ones to make or not. Bon courage. .

i noticed you didn’t use the liaison for ‘puis en’ 7:00, is it forbidden because it’s a conjunction ?

You are right. I did not make a liaison with 'puis' because the focus on the video was on compulsory liaisons, which is not the case with this conjunction. However, 'puis' has an optional liaison, just like 'mais'. Therefore, whether you pronounce 'puis' or not, it is correct. When I speak, I would make a liaison with 'puis' and 'mais'. It would sound weird to me not to make it. Thanks for this comment.
