The best explanation of the plus que parfait I have ever come across. Thanks to you I’ve "got it " as an elderly student it was the most difficult of the tenses to grasp so far. You are an excellent teacher anticipating potential problems of your students. Thank You again.

These are single (one) sentences, describing only one action. Is it not in tune with what you said that PQP is used for an action taken place before another past action ?
