There is a 9 tons variant dedicated to hot environment that was studied for the UAE order, but that went nowhere AFAIR, there are variants up to 10 tons offered for single engine fighters, but again, that went nowhere. The only upgrades in production or signed off are targetting greater range, operability and lower maintenance, not increased thrust.

I believe he is talking without PC but still wrong it should be 10 tons. But he is right an additional thrust will help with full weapons load.

@@verdebusterAP Not really. It's pumped under pressure, so position has little to do with passing the gas. Keeping the aircraft steady to aid hook-ups and avoid collisions are far more important. Generally, the tanker flies in a large oval orbit on station while refueling.
