I'm a Reform supporter and Leave voter. Macron isn't far left. He's basically in the region of a slightly authoritarian wet Tory or social democrat, or your average Davos attendee. Far left would be like Antifa, Bolsheviks, Marxists, Maoists on the authoritarian side and 1930s Catalonian anarchists on the libertarian side. Personally I wouldn't regard Le Pen and co as strictly right wing because they have quite leftist economic policies involving planned economies, state run industries, nationalisation etc. Conservatism does muddy the waters a fair bit with its nostalgia and sentimentality for "institutions" and that can lead to an aversion to free market capitalism. National Rally could be summed up as national socialists without the militarism (they are very much the opposite), without the abolition of free and fair democracy and without any genocidal intent or truly racist policies. Like the AfD they are definitely more radical than Reform UK.
