The Saudi girl said that their word exam "ekhtibar" "اختبار" is originated from formal Arabic but the word emtihan "امتحان" is actually originated from the formal Arabic also and its root is "محن" it means struggle or test . So both are orginated from formal Arabic.

Persian and Arabic belong to different language families. Arabic is a Semitic language, Persian is an Indo-European language, making it more similar to languages from countries like Pakistan and India. Maybe you can make another video with similar words between Urdu/Hindi and Persian👀 I think people will then see how many similar words the languages share.

As a Turkish I realized that our many words were common with Persian. When I checked the etymology some words were from Persian some of them were form Turkish and Arabic. Usually, our pronunciations are similar to Persian. We say Çatı for roof, Sınav for exam, Ada for Island, Mum for candle. But we also use hane, aş and imtihan from Persian.

Actually Moroccan 🇲🇦 is different because of/thanks to the influence of Berbère's language more than the European languages. The vocabulary and the pronounciation mostly ! Currently learning Arabic, it was very interesting!

I’m from Tajikistan 🇹🇯 we are Eastern Iranians, our language is Persian, tajiki dialect. The only thing is that our alphabet has been changed several times by Soviet Union. The new persian language has been reborn exactly in our aria in the past called by name of Greater Khurassan. The father of persian language is also from modern Tajikistan (Rudaki). as a kenyan girl who learnt arabic and still learning arabic at this age of mine i can say that the i know a mixture of morocan and egyptian arabic even though ive been learning saudi arabic all my life lol 😅

Persian accent sounds to more like Syrian accent but in Persian instead of Arabic. It's quite fascinating as a native speaker I can understand all of them yet they had to sound totally different to a foreigner. Which what I love about Arabic and Persian the accents are basically different languages but they are written the same and most people can understand it if they hear or read it.

For us Iranians, the accent is very clear, it doesn't matter if it is Iranian or Turkish, the accent is damn clear

Iranians in the past used to use the word matbakh مطبخ for kitchen,some elderly people still use that word.aslo sath سطح and sotuh سطوح we use that word also but not for roof, sath in Iran is used for surface and sotuh is surfaces

In iraq we use many words from persian. We say khashoga for spoon and we use the Word sabzi for a specific vegetable. In fact many arabs find the iraqi dialect difficult because our dialect is very influent by persian and turkish. Great video 😊

The Persian language (farsi) sounds faaaar more beautiful than the rest, seriously!!😍👌🏼

In India we say Sabji (Vegetable) pretty similar to Persian. We say Mombatti (lit. Wax Light) (Candle) which is of course not derived from Arabic/Persian. We call it Chammach (Spoon), we also have a word Chamcha which means bootlicker derived from the same word. We also use Kitab (Book) when we use Urdu, but it becomes Pustak in Hindi. Imtehan is the word people will understand here too. But the Hindi word is Pariksha for Exam. We don’t have a Hindi word for Coffee. We call it Coffee. Kahwa is what we use to call special Kashmiri Tea. In India we call it Chatt (Roof). We replace the S sound with Chh sound. In India we say Rasoi (Kitchen). In India we call it Dweep (Island) like in Maldives or Lakshadweep. It was fun knowing so many words are similar in Hindi and Persian as both come from same Indo-European language tree.

I think this is such an unfair comparison because Iranian people speak Farsi not Arabic so yall shouldn't expect him to understand what they're saying. He probably doesn't even feel included (I would too) because the others are quite similar but he's the only one having a whole ass different language not dialect:/

I don't know why they were so shocked that Persian and Arabic does not sound similar as they are two different languages. Iranians are both ethnically, culturally and most importantly linguistically indo-European, unlike Arabs, and their language is actually closer to English than to Arabic. Most loan words from Arabic to Persian are either originally Persian words used by the Arabic language then re introduced to Persian, or there exist a Persian replacement. This also applies to French loan words in Persian.

As a Pakistani Persian/Farsi is my favourite language, it just sounds very poetic and something that would be spoken by Kings and nobles in a high court.

In uzbek too - spoon is qoshiq , candle is sham , book is kitob, exam is imtixon, coffee is coffee or qahva, roof is tom , kitchen is oshxona or kuhniya, island is orol but jazira too is a very bit understantly word ,

Don't forget that the Moroccan Dialect is based on Arabic and Tamazight ( berber) even our gramma like the sentence structure is Amazigh based. and of course we have also many French and Spanish words.
