M;y husband and I were in Vernazza on the train platform when a historic rainfall began and washed away the grape vineyards, the playground, plants, trees and cars parked outside the town. Two local men took us, along with twelve others, across the flooded train tracks, through an apartment and down to the church where the priest gave us blankets and wine. As the water began to enter the church, we were taken up to another church and evacuated by boat the next morning since the entire first floors and train tracks were filled with mud and debris. Vernazza is a beautiful town and it was restored to its beauty within two years of the flood.

Aww, I loved this video so much! I loved the calmness of it. I folded all of my baby's clothes while watching it. We are traveling there in less than a month, so this was great to watch. Thank you!

Just an FYI - for everyone, the Cinque Terre is an Italian National Park and drones are prohibited from flying… I was there 2 weeks ago and someone was flying one… Italian police have taken them before, but please know that you cannot fly here… that is coming from someone who is an FAA registered drone pilot and an EU registered drone pilot. Follow the rules 👍🏼. The footage in Thai video could have come from prior drone footage before the ban or authorized operation.

My husband and I visited the Cinque Terre in 2013. What a treat to see your beautiful images which brought back such great memories. Love seeing Matthew enjoying everything as only children can do. Thank you so much as always. Yours is our favorite You Tube channel by far.

HowCinque Terre has grown since we travelled there about 40 years ago. We met Rick Steves there with his first group of travelers, and stayed, so happily, in Vernazza, the most populated town at that time. We hiked from town to town, but since we were there, the walkways have become much safer, and Cornelia had just a church, surrounded by some apartments. No shops or restaurants, and Cinque Terre had several travel magazine reporters there to advertise this amazing area.. it might have been a bit longer than 40 years ago. I loved my visit with you, Chris, and Matt, as I love every one of our “visits” with you and your village, travels, and your beautiful voice that feel to me like a meditation.

What a lovely and enjoyable visit to Cinque Terre. I have visited there and fell in love with Verrazano and had a wonderful lunch there with family. Thank you for taking us there.

A lovely Italian seaside village. My first impression of how different from a French village is how the Italians hang their laundry in public.Perhaps French do it too but I haven't seen it yet.
