@@---ut6fk I remember seeing 'Netherlands' somewhere. Sounds correct. I lived in France for nearly 20 years and met many NL people. Of course, this actor's English and accent is far better than most, but still there nonetheless.

the "american" actor is really talented. He is originally dutch but he has a cool way of hiding the accent and pretending to be bad at french. you can tell he wasn't born in the U.S. though :)

The girls seem only concerned with their appearance (at first because I can see that they're changing their views) and even Nico did for a short while haha....but now he's the one who's always 'bro'ing with him lol! *sigh* but I know they're never gonna make that happen. Because gay people according to media is flamboyant and feminine. Gosh.

Clemwell Milan Yes I agree with you. Heck you can be anything you want to be....why call it feminine or masculine in the first place? I'm supposedly a tomboy according to my friends and have 'masculine' qualities....but I don't like labelling myself. Media and pop culture always uses such stereotypical portrayals of homosexuals! However I'm glad to know that there are two places where this isn't done. If you've read the PJO/HoO series then there's Nico Di Angelo who really doesn't fit that stereotype and in the Mortal Instruments there's Alec and Magnus (I ship them so much!). I love that they aren't stereotypical! And yeah I wish they would make SICO real....*sigh* but they won't

estaba buscando una serie para mejorar mi comprensión oral en francés y encontré esto; sinceramente, es mejor de lo que esperaba encontrar ! ya he visto series en alemán e inglés con la misma historia de extranjeros viviendo con nativos y esto se supera con creces. Es entendible aún sin hablar lento como robots además de tener un buen sentido del humor. *Merci beaucoup* !

As a matter of fact, their acting was quite good for a show like this, educational. They should make a sequel, like 20 years after, Nico divorces Sacha, Sam comes back from the States...oh, yeah, and this Stephane guy, he should get an Oscar, he is really something.

What's quite strange about this show is that the natives understand Sam's English, but Sam doesn't understand the natives' French

Not really. They are relatively young French people and pretty much all French people learn some English in school. You often understand more than you can say, so it's consistent with that.
