The food is an Indian recipe from the state called Uttar Pradesh. Indians have lived in Fiji since the1800s and in the last 30 years non-Indians have embraced the food. Bu give credit where credit is due.

This is authentic Indian food yet called Fijian food? There are several generations of Indians living in Fiji who have brought their culture and food. The food they cook are from a specific state in India. Cooking Indian food abroad doesn't make the recipes Fijian or any other culture.
