Fresh Guacamole was originally commissioned by Showtime as part of its "Short Stories" series and first appeared on Showtime's KZfaq channel for a period of 1 year (March 7, 2012 - March 7, 2013). In that time the film tallied 7,842,373 views. Since KZfaq does not allow view counts on a film to be transferred between channels, the upload here on PESfilm has to start again at zero. 3/7/13

This is still the gold standard for stop motion for me, mostly because of the real fine details that are included. And the sound design is just absolute perfection.

I think some shots with just moving the hand can be just taken like a video and just taking photos instead of a video to get the stop motion effect, but I guess that’s the easiest way I’m not sure if it a good strategy or not

I remember watching this over and over as a kid and being mesmerized every time. This video came to my mind for no reason and I was able to find the video by making up a few words. Let me see if I've got this correct: The grenade is an avocado, the baseball is an onion, the pin cushion is a tomato, the golf ball is a lime, the light bulb is a jalapeno, the chess pieces are salt and pepper, and the poker disks are chips. Did I misidentify anything?

Daniel Gulotta it is isn’t it? Just coming home from work or school, or just lying in bed, and deciding “hey, I should watch that one video.” Is quite satisfying to see and hear this video again. It reminds me of how I wanted to find this book from when I was younger. I remember I liked it yet I could only remember a few snippets of the book. I never quit trying and soon I found the book (The Adventures of Polo) and when I got it (and a few others I hadn’t read) it was incredibly satisfying to remember all the things. It’s kind of like a wave. The wave is like your memories, as the wave disappears, you forget something of your past. But sometimes another wave starts to form, carrying those old memories back to you. It was a great time mesmerizing in those books :)

I learned the actual steps from this video 0:04 sharpen knife 0:09 cut open avocado 0:15 remove seed 0:18 get all that delicious crap in the mortar 0:21 remove skin from onion 0:25 slice the onion 0:28 slice one half of the onion 0:30 now dice the onion 0:34 chop chop chop chop chop chop chop chop chop chop 0:38 grab the diced onion and put it in the pestle with the avocado 0:40 grab a tomato, remove the leaf.... 0:42 .....and dice 0:45 again, put it in the mortar 0:48 grab a lime 0:51 cut in half 0:54 juice it into the mortar mix 0:58 grab a pepper/chilli 1:01 cut it in half from bottom 1:02 remove seed to reduce spicy-ness 1:05 Slice it into multiple peices 1:08 add to mixture 1:11 salt & pepper fart 1:16 mix the mixture using a pestle 1:23 serve and enjoy
