Back to basics with a Fresh Mozzarella crostini with olive oil and Italian seasoning
Perfect for snacking or leave out the cheese to ad to french onion soup
Items used
1 Baguette
Fresh mozzarella
dried Italian seasoning Approx 2 teaspoons
Olive Oil Approx 1/2 cup
Directions
Mix Olive oil and Italian seasoning in a dish (amount depends on how many crostini's you are making
Slice your baguette into your desired thickness
Spread Olive oil mixture on one or both sides of bread
Broil on low if you are doing this for the first time, Bread can burn real quick if you forget to keep an eye on them
Broil until desired crispness on the first side, then turn over and broil until lightly toasted if you are adding cheese, Ad cheese then broil until cheese is melted You can turn the broil temp down to low if not already and it will be easier to get the cheese to a golden color.
make sure to stay close to the oven so as not to forget and burn your bread.
