When I make a tincture that's brandy (or another spirit) and honey I call it an elixir, which I just love to do coz it sounds magical. Thanks for sharing x

Love that! I usually call them Elixirs too but since it has alcohol I thought I'd make it clear in the title that it had alcohol by calling it a tincture.

Stirs with licked spoon. Drops jar. And then omg the kids at the end and your parenting style 😂😂😂 we're kindred spirits lol Where are you located? Ive bought two books because of you. You're an enabler lol I can make this with an alcohol other than brandy right?

I dont see why you couldnt use a different alcohol, it would turn out a little different but still work.

I so need to make this, thank you for the recipe. I tend to carry a lot of tension in my shoulders and it causes headaches, sometimes severe ones. Next summer I will make this. I wonder if making a rose infused oil for massage would work similarly.

If you want to make a perfume replace the alcohol and honey for oil. Olive or grapeseed oil works awesome Just use dried herbs/ rose pedals ect. And store in a glass jar in a dark place for at least 6 weeks. The longer it sits rhe stronger it gets. Then strain and put it in a dark glass bottle and use as needed.

It will have a different flavour if you use a different alcohol but it will still be good!

You should use a wooden spoon for scooping out the honey... Especially if you are eating it (enzymes in the honey are lost when in contact with steel){is it steal/steel?🤔} to get the most out of your honey. Thanks for the tutorial

Need not preach the pseudoscience here. A stainless steel or any metallic spoon is fine to use with honey without adverse effects, so long as the spoon is clean, i.e. not rusty, contaminated or dusty, etc, and that the spoon is not kept in prolonged contact with the honey, such as storing the spoon in the honey.
