This has been really helpful for me. More than anything, it's helped me simplify, play less notes, get more melody and song structure. Staying close to the song, adding small fills rather than wandering all over the fingerboard and losing the essence of the song is the lesson I pull from this. thanks David!

Hey David, do you recommend playing with your middle and index finger or using middle, index and ring finger? I see many players using only 2 fingers when 3 strings are not played at the same time, of course. I can't make out which ones you're using. I happen to feel more comfortable using my ring finger, but it may be influenced by many years of playing like that. I'm wondering if for fingerstyle blues is more practical to use only 2 fingers when possible.
