----------------------
Welcome back! Let's continue with "Rahdo's Goofs"
If you find Goofs I didn't notice Please leave Timestamps :)
Thank You
4:37 "Any cards you paid to go above and beyond the limit, you put on the right side" and then he puts the card on the left side!! :p
10:26 When you lose a fight, you don't HAVE to get rid of cards! You HAVE to lose the Life Points corresponding to the difference of the value, so if you needed a 4 and only got a 1 you'll HAVE to lose 3 Life Points...
Then you CAN choose to remove from the game cards you have played during this fight that make a maximum total of 3... You can choose which cards you remove from the game freely... so you don't have to get rid of any card you don't want to...
This goof will be repeated during the Run but I won't be making another note about this... just remember, it's your choice to remove cards, not an obligation
11:00 but forgot to pay the 3 Life Points
18:36 Since we are in the Yellow Zone it's not 4 points, it's 7 because we are now at -2 and needed to reach 5 so it's 7 life points we are going to lose
19:34 It's 6 not 3!
20:09 No... it's 6!!! It would be 4 if you were at 1... since you are at -1 it's 6 life points!! MATH!!!
20:35 And again forgets to pay the life points for failing the hazard!

Destroying cards after failing is not mandatory! So you can just destroy the ones you want to get rid of. Great you featured this awesome game!

A game of probability like Blackjack. You might want to remember how many -1 cards you have left. I’d probably take difficult tasks first to get rid of bad cards so I can keep good cards later unless it only require 0 point to succeed.

Hello, at 20:09 you count your points as 1 ignoring the minus 2. So you have decided your points as 1. should it not be minus 1? That would make the life points you loose 5-(-1) which would be 6. Could you confirm?

You made a huge rule mistake. When you decide to lose a fight, you HAVE to pay in food/life the amount of missing attack point. Then depending how many life you paid, you can then destroy bad cards to the amount of life point list, based on the life cost at the top right of the card. The way you are playing, you almost never lose life a make the game easier.
@PauloRenato23
@PauloRenato23 9 жыл бұрын
Guibsx not paying the life points on some occasions in the video was not done in purpose by Richard... he just forgot and when he did I made a note in the video saying that... Regarding the destroy cards when you lose a fight a note was already done also regarding that... Thanks
@Guibsx
@Guibsx 9 жыл бұрын
I never implied that Richard did this on purpose. As for annotations, I was watching this video on my iPhone/iPad and none were showing. Just wanted to point out the error in case someone would watch this and play the game wrong. The error is significant has it makes the game a lot easier, especially against pirate ships where you can just keep spending life to draw more cards.
@PauloRenato23
@PauloRenato23 9 жыл бұрын
Guibsx I wasn't saying you said it was on purpose... I was just saying that Richard explained it correctly in the game and played it correctly for the most time... that I saw he forgot to do it 2 or 3 times. I also mentioned the notes because I know that not everyone sees them due to device limitation, I also want to mention that they are always at the end of the description box of the video precisely for people that can't see them, that way they can read them and know what goofs were already spotted :)

I don't know of a direct analog, but there are a lot of "roguelike" games. They have randomized setups, are tough, and you play them over and over again, trying to beat them. When you lose, you start over from the beginning. You probably want a turn-based game so it feels more like a boardgame. * FTL: Faster than Light * Tharsis * Darkest Dungeon I've only played the first one. It's pretty good, but it's hard.

@PineleafNeedles
@PineleafNeedles 9 жыл бұрын
boggerblogger Yeah, he shouldn't be doing that. Technically, the player should never look through a face-down deck. The player is allowed to count the cards remaining but not turn any cards face up prior to drawing them.
@rahdo
@rahdo 9 жыл бұрын
PineleafNeedles yup, and i normally wouldn't look through the deck that way while playing... i was only doing it for the video to demonstrate the decision making process. In a real game, I'd be able to remember how many of each of the basic types of cards there are, because I my mind wouldn't be filled with filming considerations :)

9:33 Shouldn't the 1 become 0 because of the scared effect? 17:08 Couldn't you use the destroy ability to get rid of the food card? Then the total would drop to 0 and you would have to destroy the Realization card too. So you could remove both cards from your deck.
@PauloRenato23
@PauloRenato23 9 жыл бұрын
cartoon80s90s regarding 9:33 he realizes that a few seconds later and does the right calculation... Regarding 17:08 if the uses Realization to destroy the food card he would be losing a card of value 1 that gives +1 life points to get rid of a card that can allow him to destroy cards that are much worse than that one... so that wouldn't be a very good move... it would be possible but not good
@cartoon80s90s
@cartoon80s90s 9 жыл бұрын
Paulo Renato I saw him fix the mistake he made with the scared effect, but I forgot to remove that line from my comment when I posted it. :) About the second suggestion, I mentioned it because he said he wanted to focus on cards with higher value which, in my opinion, is the right thing to do. From what I have seen so far from the game, life cards are important in early and mid game because that's when you lose a lot of encounters. This is going to happen in the late game as well if you are pulling value 1 cards when you need scores of 8+.
@PauloRenato23

Looking at the cards left and then reshuffling. Part of the game is when you put an aging card in that library when it runs out you aren't supposed to know what it is. So even though he reshuffles he can still see what the 'bad' aging card was.
