Haven't been able to ride for a couple months due to severe tendonitis in my left forearm, so I really appreciate these vids learning what NOT to do. Having had a few crashes myself and being empathic I literally feel pain watching these crashes. The worst has got to be Stewart's ball buster stop atop that jump.

With the last one, it would be hard to get that front wheel up by the time you realised you were coming up short. In fact he was anticipating hitting a down ramp, not about front wheel high. I am surprised that his injuries were that bad. Makes you think about consequences!

The Mx Factory 😂 fair enough 👍🏻 However, 150lb rider (pushing 40’s) + 250lb 450 + twisty deep sand trails + Hard Tires (wrong tires) = Non intentional, expected mishaps 🤷🏼♂️👍🏻 Thankfully I have your list of soft terrain videos to watch over and over again for tips, keep up they great work fella’s......big shout out to your WHOLE “The Mx Factory” crew! Stay safe, 🤘🏻 & ❤️ from 🇨🇦

Love these Friday fails 😂 but the third crash clip is a place called Breezewood Proving Grounds. Breezewood is one of the hottest riding spots in the Northeast. I know they do a quad camp annually with Joel Hetrick. Thought that this might be a business opportunity for ya’ll to do a moto camp. I don’t know if they do one currently but might be something to look into!

Can you do a friday fails with some advanced rider crashes
@vortexsophia4 жыл бұрын
Wow, I was literally a quarter of a lap behind the last crash at Riverdale MX practicing tips from your videos on proper technique systematically like I was back in commercial flight training aka by-the-numbers trying to avoid having submission material to Friday Fails. I did't see the jump but saw the resulting injury after on the ground, I didn't realize he cased trying to take that whole thing. That particular track is built on Lahar from the Mt. Saint Helens Eruption, so it's very rocky because it's built into the natural dirt deposit. Due to Covid, some tracks (there's like 5 there) are maintained less, so that stretch is very rutted, weird lips, and soft in spots. I was there yesterday practicing technique and noticed that literally no one (who clearly knew what they were doing) was trying to clear that whole gap. I was initially planning to comment and thank y'all for breaking these down because I can hear the suggestion in my head while practicing. After where the kid cases the landing, there's a set of mild close together doubles where I was practicing how to case properly and wanted to thank you for such a great video on that as it is. Totally didn't expect though to see that crash on here.

I'm hitting up Riverdale Sunday, I know Dan had said there want going to be much track prepping during the week until today.
@vortexsophia4 жыл бұрын
@@ravenhawke5 They were working on the main MX track (the one behind the trailer?) with all the excavation eqip, it looked fantastic. I have to imagine with how big the place is that it must be a lot of work to manage when things are in normal mode never mind on the pestilence schedule. But they're so nice there and it's wonderful they let it be open during this time.

Home made jump fails...only 18 hrs ago I did this in the backyard on my boys crf50. We set up an 5" high kicker off an aluminium plank. Had just installed a Ronnie Mac sticker on the number plate. We were going well until I decided we should try third gear! My boy leaned the wrong way, we went to the side, headed for the corner of the house, big front wheel lockup. I put the bike down to save us, held my boy on top of the bike and slid along the ground, stopping with the front wheel just tapping the brick of the house! Haha. Boy was good, my shin got banged up from the footpeg. A real Uncle Ron crash 🙂

The guy on the sand jump, looked like since front wheel turned, maybe bike leaned and he took foot/feet off pegs and stuck leg out like he felt like he was going to crash sideways, maybe if he stayed on pegs, gave it some gas when landing the bike would have straightened out ?

The guy who crashed on the wet jump and drove towards the pond never grabbed his clutch. If he'd been able to snag it with a finger or 4, he might not have had those kicks that threw him forward.

What’s your opinion on foot dabbing?
@TheMxFactory4 жыл бұрын
Foot dabbing is no good👎🏻
@CommieHunter74 жыл бұрын
You're way better off keeping correct body position and recovering with throttle. Drive out of the turn instead of using a foot to stand it up
@TheMxFactory4 жыл бұрын
If you catch yourself leaning too much and feeling like you are going to fall over, using your throttle to get out of that is going to be our best bet! Practicing cornering with both feet on the pegs is a great way to help connect the throttle to saving a fall in the corner 👍👌

it amazes me to see people hit large jumps short, if you are going big and have made your mind up it is just better to f'in commit and get on it, COMMIT and save your life -or your ankles, or stay small whcih sucks as many of us know but when it is time to move up we have to move up longer rather than shorter, come on people.
