No one will see this, but here I go. This channel remains as one of my favorites. These 4 were friends I wish I had, constantly making me feel better during stressful times and getting me excited about the games I love. You guys did more than you realize and it’s sad to see it end but everything does eventually.

Even after the end of the Best Friends, the Fisticuffs remains to remind me of the better times. The times I could feel excited on Fridays because 4 Canadian weirdos who I somehow felt this strange connection too would just pop in a fighting game and go to town, and you could feel for just a moment that you could be in that room with them laughing along.

Learning to perform fighting game inputs is like learning to type, or how to play a musical instrument. Hence entry level problems for new players. You really need friends at the same skill level, or you're just going to hate playing, especially against AI. Like me! I really like the *idea* of fighting games. Love the idea, in fact. But that's why I have a dusty guitar in the corner of my room with my farmer's hat hanging off of it. It shall never be.

Man... fighting games. There's just something about them.The competitive nature, the flaunting of skills, the feeling of pulling off a long combo on a good opponent, simple controls yet hard to master, so many different styles of fighters and the social factor of playing with friends. Add a dash of salt and you got a good time.

***** Honestly I had the same thought when I first started playing Street Fighter 3rd Strike. I had gotten into the game very late, like Street Fighter 4 had already come out so I was years behind. I didn't think I'd be able to win a single online match. But I kept playing and after playing the game for years against much higher skilled opponents I eventually got really good at the game. Then I went to Street Fighter 4 and had to do the same thing. It takes a long time, and a lot of practice and a shit ton of loses but eventually the hard combos, links, crossups, cancels and reactions will become muscle memory and reflexes to you.

Watching you guys play is just like being at my old arcade back in the 90's when people would crowd around the Super SFII Turbo, Primal Rage, X-Men COTA, Tekken 2, Virtua Fighter and Night Warriors machines. Now all you guys need to do is have the fucking DAYYYYYY-TOOOOOOOO-NAAAAAAAA repeating in the background to complete the effect. I should've stated that better because it's not a matter of disliking the nuzlocke series, it's just that usually in a week it switches between games. The only other game that went up this week was TWAU and I'm not watching that because I want to play it unspoiled.

Fisticuffs Number One. Ahhh :) It's been a year and a half since this series was started and I still find myself re-watching it from here time and again. When the Zaibatsu have good things to say about good games, it literally puts more faith in video games back in my heart-- faith that modern corporations threaten regularly, which just gets tiring to guard my heart against every day. Thank you so much for this series Best Friends, it honest-to-god allows me to survive for the long haul.

If you keep this series up, it would be nice to see who was playing when. Like a little image of you in the corner of the screen. Or a tiny facecam for each player. In this episode it was very difficult to know who was playing at any given time.

I hope to at least become decent at fighters one day...(The only one I'm actually really good at so far is Super Street Fighter II: Turbo Revival on GBAsp) but until then, keep dem episodes coming!

The only improvement I'd suggest for this awesome segment would be to add a label (or something) to indicate which member of the Zaibastu is playing and the character they selected. I really dug the intro guys, I'm looking forward to watching all of these! :)
