I have no idea. Worth a try! I wonder if there is something special about baking soda that has a chemical reaction with the superglue, or does the superglue simply bond within and around any fine powder?? I suspect that is what you are getting at

Exactly how strong? I suppose that something you need to find out yourself. In our case, these two repairs are continuing to work great.

@S A lot of it will depend on what kind of superglue you use, I used Krazy Glue.

​@@2H2521any iso glue and any baking soda works like magic . I've been using the cheap dollar store stuff for years with zero complaints.
