The most recent installment of our Fried Egg Guides series focuses on this year's US Open venue, The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts. One of the five founding clubs of the USGA, The Country Club has a significant place in American golf but hasn't hosted an Open since Curtis Strange's playoff victory in 1988. We sit down with golf architect Gil Hanse to discuss his team's long-term work at the club which has helped expose the rugged New England terrain and re-introduce a devilish short Par-3 by adjusting the ever-evolving championship routing.
