Isn't it incredible how most Lucille Ball fans today are so young? Under 40,30. People who grew up watching reruns of her shows or movies, people who weren't even born when she passed. She was born in 1911 and in 2021 new people, kids are discovering her work for the first time. What a legend

I just watched Lucy and Ethel their classic version of “Friendship” 😄 and this version popped up afterwards. I have never seen this one. Lucille Ball looked gorgeous in the pink gown. It’s such a cute song and I really enjoyed watching this video. Thank you so much. I remember Red Skelton’s show. My family watched it every week and I Love Lucy. Red Skelton always said at the end of his show with, “and may God bless” and he really meant it from the bottom of his heart I read ... he said he wanted people to find the happiness with God he had found. We need it now in 2021. This era doesn’t feel as happy as it was then. 🍃💜🍃✝️🍃🕊🍃🌟

Five of them (Kelly, Ball, Skelton, Dorsey, and Mostel) among the greatest entertainment legends of the 20th Century. The other two (O'Brien and Ragland) are lesser only compared to the other five. Most of those five weren't yet legends when they made this. Just an astonishing array of talent for this one classic song.

Much thanks for the line up. Getting older and I can’t always remember the names like I used to do. Virginia’s was driving me crazy. Also, I can’t remember seeing such a young version of Red! It took was shocking when i finally recognized him! I know a lady who moved here (NC) from California. I was at here house and she had a small framed painting of a clown AND it was signed Red Skelton. I asked where she got it, because I wanted one. Turns out that it was an original painting by Red. It was a gift. He was their neighbor and their families were close friends. Funny coincidence is my friend’s hair is redder than his and more like Lucille’s color. Sorry, I can babble!

She never thought she could sing nor dance. She could definitely sing and dance! Maureen O'Hara complimented Lucy's dancing talents when working with her. Actually Red Skelton was one of the first people to recognize Lucy's comedic talent. He was the one that told her MGM did her a favor by letting her go because Louis B Mayer never understood clowns. He also was her mentor and helped teach her many of the things comedy requires as comedy was still, at that time, a male dominated art.

I think she could have had no better teacher then him for props. I mean, this is a guy who used to let entire sides of houses fall on him in his movies and his body would fit through the door and he would come out unscathed. You really need to know your props for a dangerous stunt like that.
