The bad taste from the fridge ice is because the small water supply hose is wrong. I had the same problem with ours. I swapped out the hose and it fixed it instantly.

Okay I just bought one of these and this is the BEST review. Do you let it run all the water before turning it off? Do you empty it? I won't need it but every few days and I don't want to make it gross.

I hate the shape of that ice in most standard ice makers in freezers..... but even more... I don't trust the filters for ice/water in them....My filter actually got stuck in mine (my fault) becuase I didn't take off the protection on the replacement filter and the filter door popped off....this was 2 years ago and the filter won't come out... so we turned the ice maker and water to the freezer off and just make our own ice with reverse osmosis water...and the ice maker is through the door so it can still dispense ice... As far as making ice... I find it best to get a gallon zip lock freezer bag and put the ice that's made in that... keep filling it with ice as it makes ... then break the ice up with your hands holding the bag... pour the bag in the main freezer ice bin...If I just POUR the ice that gets made into the freezer bin it sticks together too much.... using the zip lock bag method works so much better for me.

I bought one followed the instructions it made about 1/2 tray of ice and now does not make ice fan goes off going to send it back.

How to clean it ?

This machine stopped working for me 5 months in I keep trying to clean it and reset it, it stuck on ice full and no longer makes ice.

wonder if your refrigerator refrigerant is low or maybe it's just out it might have something to do with that
