Cool handles

Yeah and it looks like there's a couple other brands now too. Not surprising, fairly simple design. Fringe was the first one I remember seeing.

Thanks for the review. I actually have those straps. The higher end version ones. Aside from the leg banging, rubbing etc. It's often tedious to load and unload. I haven't even touched the cleaning aspect of it. These are great. I'm actually looking for alternatives for rickshaw and a hex bar. Aside from dead lifts I think these have things covered.

Yeah, for space efficient equipment to do farmers walk, shrugs, or static holds with, I think these still make sense!

Thanks for the review! I just saw these on Fringe's website and was wondering how they handle (no pun intended). Did you have any issues with them bumping against the outside of your thighs or catching on your shorts/pants?
@tworepcave5 жыл бұрын
They shouldn't catch, the way they hang below your pockets. They can hit your legs if you walk with too wide a stance, or depending on your body proportions. Walk smoothly so they don't swing. The cambered handle placement is meant to keep the handle positioned straight above the weight, more so than if you were to just tie a rope through them for example, which would leave the plates too close to your legs and swinging a lot. Without adding more bulk and complexity to the design I don't know if it's possible to get them out of the way of your legs any more.

Do you see any reason why you couldn't use these for box step ups too? Clearance issues?
@tworepcave4 жыл бұрын
I don't see a way around them banging into the box. You would be better off having a sandbag on your shoulder for weighted step ups.

Can you comment on 1 handed walks, and if the other side of the weighthorn, where theres is like a small round metal piece, that potentially grind against the leg, because of imbalance, is actually causing discomform. Or maybe because the area is low enough, it does not touch the leg. Thanks

I think any independently handed devices like this are likely to hit your leg doing one handed walks unless you adjust your body position somehow to prevent it.

@@tworepcave its oki that a metal surface touch the legs (been using waterjugs for about a year now and its find, because theres nothing to grind against) but specifcly on that handle you got, theres is the round thing, like the “start of the weighthorn on the side facing the leg” and that would be painfull to grind on the outside of the leg. But because its position is low enough, i would guess its position would be about where the shinbone is. And because the hands will be on outside of the thicker upper leg, i suspect it to be allright, as there would be enough space to have instability. So since you actually got these, and i am thinking on buying a pair, i wondered if you could giev me specific feedback on this exact. Thank you for quick response✌️
